1  Polymer clay and Fabrics, such as Leather in Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions by Moxie-CG on: November 24, 2013 01:37:18 PM

i'm just thinking out loud i have an idea im thinking through and i just wanted to ask you guys  Has anyone done any mixed media works using polymer clay adhered to fabrics particularly Leather or suede? and vice versa? Do you have any tips for using these materials together succesfully? will liquid sculpey be a suitable bonding agent.i would do some tests but i only have just the  amounts of leather i need for the project and not enough to do samples Sad .... its just i'm have a project Large but flat(relief) in my head and i am just trying to work out how best to do it.......would you advise a base material of thick card, solid clay or wood for stability cos its gonna get knocked about a bit, and also is Leather going to go in the oven ok ??

2  The Hatchling - (Lots of Photos) in CHALLENGE 90 ENTRIES by Moxie-CG on: September 09, 2013 03:54:17 AM
So err i was out in the garden this morning and was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a hatchling Golden Dragon-fly. Fresh from the egg and drying its wings in the morning sun...

I crept a little closer;

Oh no too close i startled the poor wee bub;

the little fella is tiny managed to pick him and his egg up in little handful as his wings arent fit for flying yet and he measures just under 4 inches

he sat still for ages letting me get some close up shots while he dried his wings, his huge boggly eyes look like watermelon tourmaline gemstones;

 it started to rain so i sheltered him with a blanket so he could keep dry

 a little later he flew off and just left his beautiful egg. Did you know the inside of dragon-fly eggs glow in the dark, i guess it attracts lots of moths for food to help the teeny tiny golden dragonfly hatchling to grow into the giant 40ft sleek adult beast.

3  Create Something Beautiful in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by Moxie-CG on: August 31, 2013 06:14:39 PM
Do You Tangle?

So this is my first attempt at a zentangle inspired piece, and also my first project uploaded to craftster. its drawn with pen and ink and finished off with some coloured pencils. i know tangles are supposed to be monochrome but this just needed some colour. The slogan reads.."get up and create something beautiful" and is just a little motivation for me when i'm feeling down. Anyways thanks for looking.
