1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Bag with divider, gusset and top zippered on: February 17, 2011 01:15:56 PM
Hi! I'd like your help with smashing a few tutorials together to one bag. I think I'm overthinking it, making me just stare at the screen now.
So what I'd like to do is a bag for my laptop, with a divider like this: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=182493.0 (but it doesn't have to be zippered).  But I absolutely do not want a flap! I'd like the top to look something like this: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=120625.0 with the zipper coming down for a bit on the side. But I could settle for this kind of top: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=85354.0 The important thing is a zippered top.
Thought to follow the first tutorial for the lining and the outside like the Fancy Man Purse but I'm totally stumped on how to sew the two together!
Thoughts? Inputs?

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / How to do reversible cables? on: September 30, 2007 11:40:25 AM
I have searched and searched but can not find any tutorial on how to make reversible cables. I am going to do a 2x2 rib and want to replace the 2 knit stitches with a simple cable, but it is important that it is reversible since the whole thing is reversible (anthropologie-inspired capelet). I know how to make cables, but not how to make it reversible. I know you guys know, so stop keeping it from me!  Wink
4  EUROPE / SCANDINAVIAN/NORDIC / Om Gotland, Stockholm o annat on: September 03, 2007 07:29:24 AM
Hejhej.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / My brain stopped working on: August 16, 2007 06:44:17 AM
...after a long day at work. I'm planning on making a bolero http://www.prima.co.uk/index.php/v1/Shrug but instead of using cathay I'm going too use http://www.garnstudio.com/lang/se/visgarn.php?garn=CottonViscose which is pretty much the same, cheaper and easier to get hold of for me. But cathay holds 100m/50g, and CottonViscose holds 110m/50g. Does this mean that I can get away with only 7 balls of yarn instead of the original 8?!
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Finished!! on: March 20, 2007 10:58:37 AM
My sister were supposed to make her boyfriend socks for Christmas, but she never got started. So finally I said I would make them. They took forever, I sure don't like rib... But here they are (well one of them):

And I made a blanket for my camera:

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / stretchy bind-off on: January 31, 2007 06:49:00 AM
Hello, hi! I'm about to bind-off my BIL christmas-socks (I know, sch) and I don't know how. I have already made a pair for myself, and the bind-off sucks. I used the basic bind-off but on bigger needles, and it's not even close to stretchy! It's a 2x2 rib btw. I did a search both here and on google but found no tutorials...
Can anyone teach me a new trick?
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Denied access on: June 20, 2006 10:07:15 AM

Hello!  I have problems getting access to The Knitting Garden and White Lies Designs. I just get told that it can't connect... it doesn't work with Explorer either... Ideas? Thoughts? It is getting really annoying.

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / help me find a bolero on: April 21, 2006 08:45:46 AM
Hi! I have looked through all my free pattern sources and come up with nothing... well, not nothing of course, but not what I want. Here in Sweden it's common that you can only buy a pattern if you buy the yarn. I hate that stupid rule! 'Cause I already have the yarn. So please help me find something, preferrably free, like the green cardigan/bolero on page 20!! http://www.garntjanst.se/forstaSidan/katalog/katalog2006.pdf

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / In need of a new project on: February 17, 2006 06:43:56 AM
So I haven't been knitting for a week or two and I'm going crazy. I see all these gorgeous things to knit, but I really can't by any new yarns. The Isabeu purse seems like a perfect stashbuster, but I have no yarn with the right gauge and I suck at figuring out how to change it. And also I have this incredible rainbowcolored yarn (see it in the center of the basket?) that I'm dying to make something of but have nooo idea what!
Feel like giving my some ideas?! Bring 'em on! Or tell me how I change the gauge 16stx19r=4" to 18stx21r=4" (both on 5mm needles). Or do both!!
