Hi everyone, just thought I'd share what I've been working on lately. I've been trying to make some more "pint-sized" miniature figurines, so I've done a few of those as well as a few larger things.
First the two larger ones. For the carousel horse, I made everything including the horse (or, unicorn). My husband cut it out and I added some of the "sculptural" details to it. The santa was a special order that the customer decided she didn't want in the end. Ah well, that's life!
These are fab..just cost too much to send to the UK :-( boo hoo!
Thanks! Yes, Etsy is difficult for international orders... As far as I know, sellers cannot set it up so that the shipping costs are calculated by the buyer's location (if someone knows otherwise, PLEASE let me know, as I would love to sell internationally). It's silly. I can set it by country or maybe region or whatever but the prices are SO varied it's hard to just peg it at one price without the risk of really overcharging someone from one country or really undercharging someone from another. I used to sell on eBay and there was an option for calculated shipping that was soooo much better.
Hi all, my daughter (_trains__derail) suggested I post some of my work here. I sculpt small figurines of wizards, witches, elves, santas, scarecrows and some other things. Depending on the piece, I make the face/head, hands, feet, etc. from clay and the bodies or whatever other props from things like vintage fabrics, antique rosaries.. all kinds of stuff. Hope you enjoy!
Cool! We actually have an old bathtub outside that we used to use for giving water to our horses, but we don't use it anymore so it's just sitting there. Maybe I can spruce it up a bit, something along the lines of this
I envy how organized your craft room is! Mine seriously looks worse than if a bomb exploded.. in fact, I haven't seen the floor in so long, I couldn't tell you what color the carpet it. It's THAT bad. I've been inspired to put some time into it thanks to this, though
