I was thinking of trying something like it (on a much simpler scale), but have no idea where to find the different types of wood. Do you order it online, or is from a local shop?

I have a local shop here that has all sorts of different types of wood. Which is good and bad because although I can get what I need, it's pretty close so I probably visit there more than I should Wink

Thank you everyone for the compliments! I'm just glad it's loved at it's new home! Cheesy

I got bunny's package in the mail today!!!!! It is amazingly awesome and it's so me!!!

First off, Super Hero cards!!!! They are perfect and I can't wait to use them! I also got an adorable aperture science to do list! And she gave me the cutest chapsticks! Frozen, Harry Potter, and Doctor Who style!!! I am NOT going to lose this set of chapstick!

I squeed so loudly opening this my husband was a bit worried... and I may have taken my pants off and put them on immediately because Magic and Harry Potter!!! These are my new favorite pants to wear around, I super excited it's getting closer to fall because I'll never have to take them off! Wink

I was at a lose for words when I first saw this. It is absolutely perfect!!! I don't know how you did it but ALL my randoms are there and they all go together so nicely!!!

I am absolutely amazed at the time and dedication bunny spent making every single one of these patches. The stitches are so perfect!

I seriously can't decided which patch is my favorite! Seriously bunny, THANK YOU!!!! I love everything!!!!  Kiss

I made this for bunny1kenobi for the IYP swap and now that she has received her package, I can show it off!

It's made out of Bloodwood for the red (this was a ton of fun to work with and makes some gorgeous red sawdust), the eyes are maple, and the rest of it is my favorite to work with cherry.

So trying to cut the pieces to a 1/4" wide is quite difficult. When I first pieced him together he kinda looked like a chipmunk. Also the edges were quite sharp once he was all glued together and I may have accidentally cut open my knee a bit (don't worry I fixed him so he won't bite anymore!)

After all the pieces were glued together, he required some planing, and then TONS of sanding and tung oil. The tung oil brings out the patterns of the wood so wonderfully!!!

I meant more like, how does it dispense? I thought it came out the little door, but seeing it open, I imagine that that is not likely.

Ha lolz. Yeah you can open up the little door and the dispenser gun thing will eventually hang on it. It's just like a spray gun so it fits through the small door perfectly. Like this:

I don't squee for much, but I will squee for this. Oh yes it rocks HARD!!!

And uh, how does the soda mechanism work?

To be honest I don't really know, the hubby did most of that. But it has a CO2 canister, a carbonator, some regulators, syrup pumps, and a fridge to keep the cold plate cold. Apparently there's lots of things online that show people how to build their own. I'll have to see if I can find the link he used.

So I finished the TARDIS like right on the 31st so I didn't get to submit it in time for last semesters games, but I still wanted to share the finished product! Cheesy There are more pictures here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=435544.0#axzz3CYUv2l6I

My husband loves soda and has been wanting to build his own soda machine forever. I told him he could be it had to fit with our movie room which meant it had to be built into a TARDIS. Surprisingly he complied. The body is built out of mostly plywood and MDF. The windows and Police Box signs are this stiff plastic stuff. I put vinyl over the plastic for the Police Public call signs. The top is one of those walkway lights you can get from your hardware store and we just painted it to match everything else.

It's quite large, but unfortunately NOT bigger on the inside Sad

We fit a microwave in there too. Just had to build a small shelf to put it on. The wiring and piping for the soda machine on the bottom area was the most difficult thing to figure out on this entire project.

We used LED puck lights to light everything up.

And here it is with me for scale. I'm 5'3" and I can stand up inside it.
