Class/Challenge/House Pride: Divination
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Grumpy Cat Squishy
Brief Description: The cat I decided to study is named Tard. Tard is a very normal cat except for her face, she always seems to be grumpy! So in honor of her I made a squishy thing and attempted to embroider her expression on to it. I just couldnt master the look. I guess there can only be one grumpy cat.
Project Picture:

Class/Challenge/House Pride: DA: Sign the Parchment
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Fezzes are cool
Brief Description: I had the hardest time figuring out what exactly is my signature craft because I have so many different ones I love doing. I came to the conclusion that my signature craft is not really a medium, its more of me crafting my nerdiness. I decided to crochet myself a fez for the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who. It was my first attempt at not using a pattern and although it turned out awesome looking, it is more of a doll size than an adult human size.
Project Picture:

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Frog Choir
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Psychic Paper
Brief Description: I decided to study the texture of my frog.  I found that it looked mostly smooth with some slight bumps kinda like a fake leather fabric. So that is what I used to make myself some Psychic Paper for my 50th Party.
Project Picture:

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Bean: Popcorn
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Cookies are Cool
Brief Description: Sadly I dont get to watch the new Who episode until after Thanksgiving. So Ive been distracting myself from spoilers by making all sorts of Whovian things. Including these delicious sugar cookies with just a pop of Who.

craftADDchick That applesauce looks delicious! Cute bag! And the bead is gorgeous!!!
LovelyMiss Your cards are awesome! I love the Tardis one! The cords are amazing and the ornaments are lovely!
Ludi I could never guess that you used toilet paper rolls! AMAZING!

Battle/Challenge: UFO: November Sighting
Project Name: Bow Ties are Cool
Project Link: http://doodlecraft.blogspot.com/2013/01/doctor-who-party-favors.html
Brief Description: I am so excited for the 50th anniversary episode of Doctor Who!!!! Cheesy Sadly Ive promised people that I wont watch it until I can watch it with them which wont be until after Thanksgiving So I decided to throw a small partyish at my Mother-in-Laws house (Im sure she wont mind) In preparation, Im making a couple of goodies for everyone, and obviously bow ties are cool! Ive had this fabric and the pins for a while and I finally sat down and put everything together.
Project Picture:

Battle/Challenge: Nov: Myths
Project Name: Mermaid Life Counter
Brief Description: As soon as muggles began exploring the sea, myths of the mermaid were rampant. Unlike the beautiful and innocence depicted in the muggle myths, wizards and witches know the true nature of these creatures. I made this life counter with some Magic cards depicting the true ferocity mermaids can portray.
Project Picture:

Battle/Challenge: Nov: Newbies & Noobs
Project Name: Grumpy Cat Squishy
Brief Description: I decided to research n00bs. Ive tried and attempted to do some embroidery but it never turns out exactly how I want it to, but as a n00b, I really dont care enough to do any research to learn more about the proper techniques and such. I thought Id give it a go and try again. I did a little bit of research about the stitches and stuff and then just went for it. It didnt completely look like the grumpy cat face I had imagined but it turned out a lot better than some of my previous attempts at embroidery.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: History of Magic
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Butterbeer
Brief Description: One of the things I found out in my research of Hogwarts, is that there seems to be quite a few secret tunnels. One of these tunnels leads to directly to the Hogs Head. And there they serve one of the most delicious drinks, Butterbeer. I made this mug in homage in honor of this delicious drink.
Project Picture:

Class/Challenge/House Pride: House Unity
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Hogwarts Sweats
Brief Description: Every big school Ive been to always has some sweat pants I like that is house unifying. These sweat pants are perfect for any house. They help remind me that unity is more important than what house I belong to.
Project Picture:

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Bean: Dirty Socks
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Christmas PJs
Brief Description: Every year on Christmas Eve, my family has a tradition of opening one present, and its always a pair of pajamas. So instead of buying PJs for the husband, I took a white shirt of his and a pair of pants and customized them with his favorite website wiki logo. I think hell really love them.
Project Picture:

Class/Challenge/House Pride: November Detention: WIP
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Ra-Ra-Ravenclaw!
Brief Description: Ive had this plain white shirt that I just havent gotten around to customizing. I finally had the time during this detention to sit down and get it done. Now I can show my house pride wherever I am.

vincentvanbuck The house ornament is lovely!

Battle/Challenge: Heroes vs Villians (Hero)
Project Name: Allons-y!
Brief Description: I agree with Smeddley, the Doctor is my hero! And having taken French in High School for three years (and not retaining most of it) Allons-y and 10 are my favorite. And so I just had to etch this mug in honor of him!
Project Picture:

Battle/Challenge: UFO: October Sighting
***Blue Bonus***
Project Name: Ra-Ra-Ravenclaw!
Brief Description: Ive had this plain white shirt that I just havent gotten around to customizing. I finally had the time to sit down and get it done. Now I can show my house pride wherever I am.
Project Picture:

Battle/Challenge: Nov: Welcome our new overlords!
Project Name: Exterminate!!!
Brief Description: In my opinion our new overlords would end up being some sort of alien or Robot. So I covered both my bases by decorating these plates with an artifact of a time travelling alien and a depiction of an alien with a robotic suit.
Project Picture:

Battle/Challenge: Nov: The Scientific Method
Project Name: NaHF2 vs. SiO2
Brief Description: Ask a Question: How will Sodium Bifluoride react with glass?
Form a Hypothesis: Sodium Bifluoride will dissolve glass.
Conduct an Experiment: My experiment will use glass mugs, vinyl stencils and Armor Etch (which is about 7-12% Sodium Bifluoride)
Collect Data: The two glasses I did both had the stencil design etched into the surface.
Analyze your Data & Draw a Conclusion: From the data I collected, it does seem that the Sodium Bifluoride does have a reaction with the glass. The etching can vary depending on how long the chemical is left on. In conclusion I believe that a product with a higher concentration of Sodium Bifluoride can dissolve glass. But with only the 12% concentration it can only etch the surface of the glass in the pattern on the stencil.
Project Picture:

Battle/Challenge: Nov: British Invasion
Project Name: Hogwarts Sweats
Brief Description: I am very much okay with the British Culture Invasion into my life. BBC has all of my favorite shows and I honestly think my favorite accent is British English. It took for every for me to decided on only one thing to submit for this prompt. I finally went with these. Harry Potter was my first real introduction to British Literature, and its still one of my favorite series. I had these pair of plain black pants and then used my Silhouette to cut out the letters and ironed them on.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Bean - Almond
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Magic Ornaments
Project Link: http://tallystreasury.com/2010/12/paper-ornaments-its-magic/
Brief Description: My husband just introduced me to the card game Magic and I love it! One thing we noticed very quickly is that we have a ton of land cards and they are the perfect thing for crafting. There are five different types of land and I made a cute little ornament for the future Christmas tree out of each one.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: DA - A Drink at Hog's Head
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Rolls
Brief Description: Whenever I have large groups over for dinner, these rolls are my go to recipe. They take a lot of time to rise but in my opinion are worth the wait!

Project Picture:

2 T dry yeast
2 c warm water
1 T sugar
Put in mixing bowl and let bubble (10mins).

⅓ c sugar
⅓ c shortening
1 t salt
Mix into bowl with yeast

⅔ c dry milk
1 egg
Add to bowl. Then add 5-6 c flour.
Let rise till double in bowl (2hrs).
Put rolls on baking sheet and let rise (1 hr).
Bake at 350 for 15-18 mins. Makes about 2 dozen (which feeds about 6)

I carved this for Halloween!

After making my sister a pillowcase, I had to make myself a shirt!

And I made this necklace in honor of 11's departure.
