So I work with resin a lot, and recently discovered this AMAZING stuff called Crystal Clay. It's a 2 part expoxy resin clay that when mixed and cured can be inlaid with just about anything. It's primarily used with Swarovski chatons, but i'm experimenting with all kinds of things.
I have to admit, this is addicting, and its SO easy! Just mix equal parts of the clay and hardener, set in bezel, and add goodies! What I find amazing is that there are several versions of this being sold for crazy amounts of money! My walmart has some in their jewelry case called Luminesce ranging from about $20-$80 and Swarovski.com has SEVERAL rings that are selling for about $200-$300 dollars!
Well I love sparkly stuff just as much as the next girl but I don't have the budget to drop that much! These are my first couple stabs at it and I am head over heels in love!
The hardest part is trying to get a picture that does the crystals justice. In real life they are SOOO sparkly. (Yes I am drooling).
I would very much appreciate any feedback would love to hear what everyone thinks!
