1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: My Unorignal "I love you" Book! (Pic OBESE!) on: February 15, 2008 02:13:08 PM
Oh I love this! I think I like your version even better than the original. And the myspace angles made me laugh. Who doesn't have a dozen or so shots like that lurking somewhere lol?
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: Punky Teenage Pinata Gift HELP!! on: October 03, 2007 08:13:00 AM
what a great idea! i would love to do this for my little cousin. she just got home from rocker girl camp this summer! so kick ass.
anyway the guitar pick earrings tip is a good one. guitar pick anything is usually good. i had a really kick ass choker with a pick i got at a concert that my friend glued rhinestones on, once upon a time. and theyre really cheap and come in lots of colours.
also my cousin and her friends love buttons. i dont know about where you are but here you can buy them for a dollar a piece at indie record shops.
stickers and tattoos are other favourites. you can always buy special paper for your printer and make tattoos or stickers of say my chemical romance, or whatever theyre into.
good luck. make sure to post pictures of how it turns out!

4  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Glass slipper? on: August 31, 2007 06:25:44 AM
Ok so I know people will probably roll their eyes when they read this post, but the theme for my friends wedding is like a fairytale/cinderella story thing and she wants glass slippers. Real ones, not lucite or anything. So I said Id ask around and if it isnt possible Id buy her a pair of Manolo Blahniks as my wedding gift. They cant be more expensive than having a glass shoe made, right?
Anyway, can anyone think of a way that it could be possible to make a real glass slipper? Glass isnt really my thing, so though I imagine a really complicated mold could be made, I have no idea. Perhaps a wedge shoe could be used as the base with pieces of pastel coloured glass stuck on. She really wants that little *ping* when she walks so it would have to have glass on the bottom too...
Argh. I dont know. Help please!

i was thinking clay jewelery but i have such different taste i thought id ask what other people like. for instance i love art nouveau necklaces but other people might want kawaii earrings...
some ideas i thought would be cool were butterfly transfers, traditional and modern japanese images or some piratey awesomeness...
and would people like necklaces or earrings or bracelets or rings or brooches..
opinions?
10  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Soap Petals on: July 05, 2007 09:32:44 AM
So I love the idea of soap petals, which are basically silk rose petals coated in soap for single use, but i cant justify making them cause they are sooo wasteful! but i found this on a how to type site and i so want to make them somehow!
alright photobucket is being a pain in the a** so im just gonna stick a link in:
 http://www.teachsoap.com/Teachpix/Petalas_hp.jpg
i was thinking maybe she made a cylinder and sliced petals off but if thats what she did she musta had a hella sharp knife cause there are no lines. or could this be done with a mold of some sort? just a very thin layer...?
