Hey that's great! I love the fabric too. What's that you've used as the loop around the button?

one question..you probably answered it sorry but i dont have time to check through cuz i gotta leave in a second but - did you use interfacing? cuz i dont have that much money so if it works w/o interfacing and i dont have to buy it that owuld be great lol...Grin i LOVE love LOVE this bag!!!

When I made the first version I didn't really know about interfacing so I didn't use any, and it worked! It depends what you're going to put in it I suppose, if it's just clothes then it should be fine without. I've made one since and interfaced each piece so that the bag stands up when there's nothing in it, I think other people who have made it have used interfacing.

Good Luck!

Very nice Gruni, your zip looks so neat, thats the bit I always struggle with.
Pleased to see people are still making the bag!

Hi everyone,

Here's a purse I made to take to see the new Superman movie:

What do you think? I love it, although the Superman on the fabric does have scary big muscles!

Thanks for the info, I really liked the idea of using the meaning behind the baby's name so I looked into that. His name is Ethan, which is from the old testament, i'm not sure if the parent's realise that since they're not religious. I think i'm gonna look for a nice verse which describes what the day is about, or just draw his name decoratively.

Hi everyone!

A friend has asked me to make the invitations for their son's naming ceremony. I was wondering if anyone here has ever made any, or even been to a baby naming ceremony? The parents aren't really sure what they want or even what will happen on the day. I've been looking on the internet for inspiration and can only really find christening invites.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Love the matching pencil case idea! I put a piece of velcro in mine when I made it with the intention of making a matching make up bag, I still haven't done it!

To everyone that liked the fabric, I finally went back to the shop today and they didn't have it. They sell seconds or damaged fabric mostly so it's not that reliable, sorry!

To msalowishus, mine doesn't stand up that well either, I think i'll do something different with the interfacing next time. You can get a lot of stuff in it though!

Thanks for helping each other out with the tutorial, sorry if it's a bit confusing!

I bought the fabric at a local shop called abakhan fabrics, i'm in England so I don't think you'd be able to get the exact fabric elsewhere.

I think they still have it, I could buy some and sell it to you via ebay if you really want it!

Wow, it's so cool to see someone else's version!  Grin  Thanks for trying my tutorial! It turned out really nice.

I use mine all the time and i've just bought new fabric to make one for my sister. She's gonna use it for the hospital when she has her baby!
