1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: creative halloween costumes on: September 23, 2006 01:44:34 PM

sewnupheart How did you do the "well loved rag doll"Huh It sounds wonderfull!
[/quote]

I wore a striped red and black shirt, tattered black skirt, black and white striped socks, and some worn in maryjane shoes.  I had my hair in two messy pigtails, I used a marker to put stitches on my wrists and neck and mouth.  I used white makeup to make my face white and had red faded lips. I just looked well used and loved and a little gothic but all in all it worked out very well!!
I will look for some pictures..I probably looked more like one of those "living dead dolls".

OooOh I can't wait till halloween!!

3  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: come one! come all! post pics of your tattoos! on: September 21, 2006 05:05:50 PM
thank you so much for looking at those pictures I am glad it is liked.  I got it in a place that I could only see and it is a really nice reminder. I always forget about my tattoos but it is one tattoo i do see on a daily basis.  right before this tattoo  I felt like I was pmsing for months.  It was just one of those downer times.  I wanted something to remind me of who I was.  I think everyone should get this tattoo as well.  It is empowering. I thought about getting woman on the other side in the same font.  That is what I am a beautiful woman.
YAY..you are all beautiful!!

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: Stretched ears and REAL earrings????I know it's been talked about :( on: December 04, 2005 06:10:16 PM
I know this hasn't been talked about for over a month but it caught my eye.  I have had my ears stretched for about 5 years. I have kept them at this size for over 2 years, they are at 18mm, just a little larger than 5/8 aw its been so long.  Thats right though.  I was fascinated with the idea of wearing earrings with my plugs awhile ago so I found some hoops to loop through some steel hollows.  I liked the way it looked, They were my "going out on the town" earrings.  It made me feel fancy, and kind of like a hooker, but fancy none the less.  I knew a few people with stretched lobes, they would wear a little smaller size plug, than the size they were at and hook the earring under the plug, for example, someone with a 0 would wear a 2 and hook the earring under the plug, at the bottom,  if that makes any sense?

A friend and I were also trying to find a lot of clear plugs we could glue some pictures to the back and it would be a magnifyed effect, especially when we were low on money but bored with our jewelry.  You need to make sure you use a good glue though that wont irritate the skin, but if you set back your plug, the glue shouldn't even touch the skin or infect it. I would do some thorough research before deciding on a plug, unfortunately we didnt follow through with this.

Oh and on the discussion of old people with stretched lobes.  I have fully come to terms with my large lobes.  I can't wait! Well no not really, but my tattoos will sag, my boobs and my lobes..so what! Who cares when they are old?  I probably wont, but I could understand questioning how you will feel about large lobes at a later age.

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Owl stuffie knit pattern on: October 05, 2005 02:52:01 AM
Excuse my ignorance, but what exactly is a 'stuffie'?
Is it just a small stuffed animal, or something more complicated?

Anything with a little fluff, a plush toy, a toy, a stuffed animal.  Its quite alright they are called many things I guess.  But thanks!  I've stumbled on the snowy owl and I am going to try it out, I will be sure to post some pictures of some progress.  I am also trying some towel stuffed animals, just coming up with my own designs.

Thank you very much! kiwimum

I like this idead a lot, ive never seen anyone dressed up like a traffic cone before.  The foam sounds like a good idea, foam glue holds up ok, it might be a good idea to connect with string or use some yellow duct tape..i know michaels has every color of duct tape, it would work with the yellow stripes too....I like it!
