1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: ~*HP Craftalong - Midsummer Semester 2016*~ on: June 26, 2016 02:13:13 PM
Class/Challenge/House Pride: Transfiguration
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Vaporeon sculpture
Brief Description: So for this project we were to turn a craft material into an animal. Vaporeon is a somewhat rare Water-type Pokemon, and is known as the Bubble Jet Pokemon. It's cell structure is so similar to that of water, it has the ability to melt into water and vanish. It also can sense when rain or a big storm is coming. You can get one by raising a Eevee and using a Water Stone on it. I sculpted it with clay and baked it (I also accidentally burned it ^.^'), and then I painted it with acrylic paints.

Class/Challenge/House Pride:CoMC
House:Hufflepuff
Project Name:Pokemon TGC damage tokens
Brief Description: So recently I've become interested in the Pokemon Trading Card Game. Ive been collecting the cards since I was about 9, but never learned how to actually play the game. So I dug through my things and got my cards and a couple of battle mats, but I had no damage tokens or Burn/Poison markers! So I made some with perler beads! I'm going to make some more soon, and other things too! ^.^

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Quidditch Owl Post
House:Hufflepuff
Project Name:Painted Owl Rock
Brief Description: For this project, we were to make an owl, or something with paper as a main component. So I found a rock, washed it and painted it. I used acrylic paint and a satin varnish. Right after I finished painting it the first time, Annoying Baby Sister, who was using watercolor paints at the time, grabbed it and started painting all over it, so I had to wash it and start over. Thankfully the black lines had stayed.

Project Name: Gravity Falls drawing
Brief Description: So for this project we were told to make a craft with our favorite method or material. I love drawing, watching as color and shapes are put on a plain white sheet, it's a wonderful feeling! So I drew a picture with my three favorite characters from one if my favorite shows, Gravity Falls, which is about two twins, Mabel and Dipper Pines, who go to spend the summer with their Great-Uncle Stan in a little town in Oregon called Gravity Falls. During the summer, they find out the town is full of secrets and paranormal anomalies! The three characters I drew are Mabel, Dipper and a Dream Demon named Bill Cipher. (In the show he's shaped like a triangle)

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Pinch of Floo Powder Emerald City
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Sanded and Oiled Tools
Brief Description: So for this project we were told to make something look it's best or make something green. I found a bunch of old tools that were rusty, and didn't work as well as they used to. So I took an orbital sander and sanded all the rust off, and then I wiped them down with an oily rag, so they would work smoother and would stay unrusty longer!

Class/Challenge/House Pride:DADA
House:Hufflepuff
Project Name: Half-human half-Grindylow hybrid, Stewart
Brief Description: This fellow is a human/Grindylow hybrid named Stewart. He was the result of a top-secret Dark Wizard breeding program that was trying to combine the magical abilities of wizards and witches with the ferocious nature of a Grindylow. However, the project was canceled before any others could be created, so he's the only one of his kind. He is very nice, although rather shy, as he's had people throw stones at him in the past. He can speak both Mirmish and English and he loves talking and hearing about the outside world. Some of his favorite human foods are pancakes, stir fry and salt water taffy.

MoonFlame:Thanks! ^.^ I love your book cover!!

WhistleFish:Thanks! No, they're not really stiff at all. I didn't use paint at all actually. I used permanent markers, and I'm actually rather surprised that they worked so well! I had a bit of trouble when I was working on SpringTrap's part, but other than that it was kinda easy. I love your quilt!

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Alchemy
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Sylveon long sleeved shirt
Brief Description: For this project we were told to craft something that will help you or someone else not crack under pressure or craft something that wraps around something else to protect it or keep it comfortable. So I made a long sleeved shirt with a Sylveon on it. The long sleeves will protect my arms from getting sun burnt or getting bitten by mosquitoes.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Detention in the Dungeons
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Haunter t-shirt
Brief Description: For this project, we were tasked with making something light and airy or including feathers. I made this t-shirt (cause t-shirts are light and airy) with the Ghost/Poison-type Pokemon, Haunter, which is also light and airy, as it only weighs 0.02 pounds.  (Drawing his hands was my least favorite part of making this shirt, because I'm not the best at drawing hands anyway, and Haunter's hands are shaped kinda differently then human hands)

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Apparition
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: FNaF Bunny animatronic canvas shoes
Brief Description: So for this project we were told to make two or more things that go together. For this project I took my pair of canvas shoes and painted them! The left shoe has Bonnie the Bunny from the first Five Nights at Freddy's game, both in human and animatronic form, and has SpringTrap from the third game on the rim. The right one has Withered Bonnie from game 2 in human and animatronic form, with Toy Bonnie from the same game on the rim.

Class/Challenge/House Pride:Time Turner Challenge
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: 2015 Spring Muggle Studies 'Animatronic Prototype VIP' drawing
Brief Description: So for this project, we got to go back in time to a past semester, and re-do a prompt we liked, or a class or challenge we missed. I went back to the Spring semester of 2015, and saw Muggle Studies was something inspired by a song. Originally I wrote a songfic inspired by and containing lyrics from Owl City's song, 'When Can I See You Again' . This time I drew a picture featuring Toy Bonnie and Withered Bonnie, featuring lyrics from a song called 'Prototype VIP', made by a YouTube artist called WoodenToaster. It was inspired by both 'Prototype VIP' and a Vocaloid song called 'Happy Halloween' (I would have included lyrics from 'Happy Halloween', but the song is in Japanese, and I couldn't remember the English translation). I'm really happy with how this turned out.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Muggle Studies
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: 2P Hetaloid Guides
Project Page Link:https://www.quotev.com/story/8008973/2P-Hetaloid-Guides
Brief Description: So for this project we were told to study Muggle 'moving pictures' or 'movies'. I discovered that Muggles not only use this technology for 'movies' that typically last for about an hour, they also use it for shorter 'movies'. I was interested by Japanese Muggle's 'anime', of which there is several kinds! From humor, to horror, even anime about a cursed princess and a long-passed author who still controls a town with his stories! One that really caught my interest was Hetalia, an anime about the countries of the world as people, and it ranges over multiple genres. There's mainly humor, but also a bit of horror here and there, and tragedy. After a bit more investigation, I found out about the many Alternate Universes in Hetalia, including Hetaloids, in which the Hetalia countries are high tech androids who can eat, sleep, talk, walk, and feel. I found out that while just about all of the 1Ps, or First Players, have Hetaloid guides, almost none of the 2Ps, or Second Players didn't have any! So I wrote one for 2P England, aka Oliver Kirkland, and 2P Italy, aka Luciano Vargas, and posted them on Quotev, (Which is a wonderful website). It was a lot of fun, and I think later I might write some other ones for other 2Ps! ^.^

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Headmistresses Challenge, 'May Days'
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: 1P Russia and 2P Russia during Mayovka drawing
Brief Description: We were given a number of prompts for this challenge, and this part of the post caught my eye,  "Mayovka, in the context of the late Russian Empire, was a picnic in the countryside or in a park in the early days of May, hence the name. Eventually, "mayovka" (specifically, "proletarian mayovka") came to mean an illegal celebration of May 1 by revolutionary public, typically presented as an innocent picnic." I immediately thought of Ivan Braginski (1P Russia) and Viktor Braginski (2P Russia), Ivan happily picnicking away with Viktor saying, "You know you're not supposed to do that." and Ivan cheerfully saying, "I do not care~! <3". So I got out a piece of paper, a pencil and started sketching, then colored it. I used a new coloring technique for this drawing, and I'm rather happy with how this turned out.
