1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: When did you learn to crochet? on: July 27, 2005 08:15:47 AM
I was six or seven when my Great-grandma put a crochet hook in my hand,  I have great memories of her teaching me how to make differant things.  So I've been doing it for over 20 years.  Wasn't until this year that I actually taught myself how to knit.  I have to say,  I really like knitting but I'll always be a crocheter!

Oh,  I love it.

Thank you very much for the picture.  I like how it goes down farther.  I don't really care for the ones that are short in the back.

Great job!

It is a tube!  its about 10"x 18"

I don't know about making animals from a tube,  sounds like it would be cool

Okay I painted my sisters belly two days before she had the baby.
She loves butterfly's.  If there was a market for belly painting I would love to do it.  It was a lot of fun.

I need to make this to go with a dress I have.

All wonderful Ideas !  Hadn't thought of a plant cozy before.  It's not actually large enough for a hat for me,  but my daughter!!!!  It just might work.   I really like the scarf Idea.  I want to make one big enough for a scarf,  but in better colors.

Well done,  it looks great on you!  I can't wait to make one for myself!  I think I'll go with pink.  I love the shrug too.

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / I think this looks cool! But what to do with it??? on: July 13, 2005 12:36:54 PM
I had a ball of old yarn in my stash and started knitting on 10.5 circs.  I gradually increased (that was my goal to practice increasing) until the colors started to match up and this is what I got.

But what would I make out of it?   Any Ideas would be great.  I am going to buy more verigated yarn and do this again,  I'm just wondering what I would make with it.   It kinda looks like a  lolly pop.
