Woo! Mr Kinkyknit took a picture of my new tattoo with his phone, and then emailed it to our computer, so at last I can show it to you!

The "N" will go above the point that is pointing to my shoulder.

23  Please can you help me figure out how to knit this jacket? (with pics!!) in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by kinkyknit on: November 25, 2006 12:35:23 AM
Hello!

My art teacher has a cardigan that she loves, and would like to copy. Anyway, she knows I knit and has asked if I can figure out a pattern for it.  I think it's knit top down with raglan increases, but I don't know how to get the st st to be slanted on the front. Do I just put a st marker at the underarms and on each row dec 1 on the outside of the marker and inc 1 at the front edge? Or is it something completely different??

(Sorry - Crafster's photo hosting isn't working for me, so I have to use photobucket)

This picture shows the slanted knitting on the front

I would really appreciate any help! Thank you! xxx

24  Re: Sorrel from Rowan 40 in Knitalongs by kinkyknit on: November 12, 2006 03:27:28 AM
Well, I've finished (here it is, blocking), but the neckline on mine is huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuug e! It's pretty low too.

This is a direct quote from Mr Kinkyknit when I tried it on:

"Yes, it does look wierd, but it draws attention to yout tits, and that's never a bad thing"

I'll try to get a pic of it on me later.

25  Re: Bellydance Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by kinkyknit on: October 19, 2006 04:18:46 AM
Woo!  I received!!!

I was sent some very cool earrings (which are red! yay!) and a stencilled tee (very professionally done - as someone who can't do this, it seems like magic to me), and a pendant, which is gorgeous, and I DID take a picture of it, but my camera has eaten it!  I have also just seen that the earrings pic is a bit rubbish - I'm so terribble at photography, but I shall get some new photos asap!!

Thank you so much, shorty3boys!!!

26  Knit sleeve - do I stretch it to measure it? (with pics!) in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by kinkyknit on: October 12, 2006 02:24:51 PM
I'm knitting "Sorrel" from Rowan 40, and the sleeves are knit in a sort of rib. I've been increasing, and now I'm at the point where the pattern says to knit until the sleeve measures 44cm.

My question is that because the sleeve is rib, it's really springy, so I must need to stretch it a bit to measure it (or do I??!), but how much is enough?

I took some (admittedly quite poor) pictures to show how stretchable it is:

not stretched:

Stretched a bit:

I would really appreciate  advice about this!

Thank you x

28  Re: Face warmer? Surgical mask? A free pattern. in Knitting: Completed Projects by kinkyknit on: September 28, 2006 09:15:05 AM
I LOVE this!!!! Practical meets fetish. Brilliant.

I had a bash at knitting the pattern up, but my mask doesn't look quite the right shape.  Am I going wrong?
