1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Ingrid's Bridal Knot Shawl FO (AKA the Never Ending Shawl of Doom) on: August 15, 2007 02:10:23 PM
Yarn: Jade Sapphire Lacey Lamb in Color #002
Needles: Size 2
Pattern: Ingrid's Bridal Knot from A Gathering of Lace
Dimensions: Approximately 88" across
Started: February 2007
Finished: August 10, 2007
Modifications:  Left out the last 14 rows of the second border because I didn't really care for the hearts (and the shawl was already heading on epic proportions)

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Saturday Market Bag on: June 06, 2006 04:47:21 PM

http://magknits.com/June06/patterns/market.htm
This was a fun little knit.  I did make some changes to it though.  I used Lion Brand Kitchen Cotton to knit it and I added more garter stitch and added a row of yo's so that I can run a ribbon through to close it up.  Mine seems a little shorter that the one on the pattern, but I also haven't loaded up the bag yet, so I'm guessing it will stretch out some.
3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Easter skirt on: April 15, 2006 03:03:10 PM
This was supposed to become a dress, but time, patience and material all became scarce, so instead I added a waistband and now have a cute skirt to wear tomorrow Smiley

here's a good idea of the general shape

a slightly better picture of the material.
4  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 10 ENTRIES / Wearing my heart on my shoes (Image heavy) on: April 04, 2006 09:06:49 AM
These shoes were cute to begin with

But I couldn't help but see the potential for something cuter, something more glittery, some hearts and some fire....

So a few layers of paint later, this is what I ended up with:

Close up of toes:

Close up of heel:

All they need now is a coat of sealer so I can wear them outside!
5  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / I finally have the hang of spinning!!! on: April 02, 2006 11:10:14 AM

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Lace alphabet on: March 11, 2006 12:48:08 AM
Does anyone here know of where I could find charts to incorporate letters of the alphabet into lace work?  I've found ones for intarsia/fair isle, but nothing for lace.
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Irish Diamonds Shawl on: November 26, 2005 10:22:49 PM
I'm so glad to finally be done with this one.  I started in September and the actual knitting only took about a month, but the getting around to finishing it took forever, partially due to trying to figure out how to go about blocking it in a small apartment with two evil cats, but I finally ended up getting it damp and ironing it to block it.  I finished weaving the ends in on Thanksgiving morning so that I could wear it.

Made out of an alpaca/wool blend I got for cheap on e-bay on size 7 needles.  Pattern from Folk Shawls.
8  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Because fluffy girls need to look cute on their honeymoon too on: August 19, 2005 10:37:41 PM
This is for a friend getting married next month......this whole being able to sew and make my own pattern thing rocks....the material was clearanced down to 75 cents a yard, and I made a plus size nightie that doesn't look like something a 90 year old would wear.

unfortunately, the cheap hanger on the closet door does not do it justice, but it's the best I could come up with.
9  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Greek Pullover? on: July 11, 2005 02:24:56 PM
I've decided to make the Greek Pullover from IK Fall '05...except with different yarn, needle size and oh yeah, making it into a cardigan.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / I feel like such a dork on: June 28, 2005 07:27:29 PM
I finally made a sock...just one so far, but I'm so excited about it, I've been walking around the house in one sock.

It's a modified (I like short socks) version of the basic sock from Hip to Knit
