What a cute design! I think you may have just given me an idea of something to do for my boyfriend for his birthday (with your permission to use your pattern that is.)

That is too cute!

Who ever received that cake was lucky indeed.

That is huge!

Nothing wrong about crafting at the dinning table. It's one of the best spaces for crafting!
44  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: cross stitching: changing colors vs filling in on: May 28, 2013 11:31:42 AM
I'm pretty new to cross-stitching myself. What I prefer to do is pick a color that has a large group and fill in all of that color that's grouped together. Then I'll pick another color and move to that one. I don't fill in all of a color in the entire pattern, just section by section. I tend to let the pattern itself dictate it's own 'natural' breaks when deciding on the sections I'll be working on. I also tend to work from the darker colors to the lighter colors. The reason I do this is because if I have to run a lighter color over a darker color for a few spaces, the lighter color won't show through on the front when it's behind a darker color.

I hope that made sense...

I think your piece turned out very nicely. The colors were gorgeous!

That frame is perfect! I love what you've done with it, and wouldn't change a thing.

Such a cute idea!
48  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Stitchalongs / Re: Doctor Who Stitch Along? on: May 26, 2013 09:47:37 PM
This one would normally be right up my alley. Unfortunately, I'm in the middle of a project right now that I want to finish, with at least 3 other projects to complete after that. Though the occasional break for a simple project might be in order on occasion.
