1  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Paper and Ephemera Swap Round 10 Gallery - Send-out Nov. 18 on: November 18, 2013 11:53:59 PM
To start with, the adorable little card that OnyxNox sent along with her package:

Next, a collection of stamps and old post cards.

Vintage letters and cards! These are so very beautiful and amazing!
http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=614355&ppuser=320636#axzz2l2dhEFdt

Old pages from books and magazines. She's right, some of the pictures and ads are beautiful in image and word.

There are some gorgous old magazine pages and some adorable stickers.

For the record, I love this map! It was one of my favorite items in the whole package, which is saying a lot considering how much I love just about everything in this one.

At this point I'm realizing I have over 20 pictures in my attempt to show everything. I'm not sure everyone want's to see all of that, so I'm going to start giving highlights. If I was wrong and others want to see every little thing, I'll happily go back and post more.

Kitty Ribbon!!! OnyxNox really took me at my word that I loved and adored cats.

Tiny happy kitty statues! These are really, really small! I really can not stress that enough. When I saw them for the first time, there may or may not have been squeeing to be heared.

I'm really looking forward to the fact that my boyfriend will be using the tiny little cat embellishment under the Hello Kitty tin (too cute!) to make me a necklace. I'll have to share what he does once it's done. Though it probably won't be until his classes let out for the semester.
I should also note those stickers arrived on a day when I was really not feeling well and in a lot of pain. Their messages were very timely and helped to perk me up.

With this last image, I'm thinking I'll have to make a scene with these embellishments. Not sure what all will be in said scene, but it's going to be a lot of fun playing around until I find something cute and amusing.

Yes, I am the hold up. Sadly, been a busy month for myself and my mother, so finding time for her to show me how to use all of her nifty crafting machines proved much more difficult than expected. Such is life, eh?

But, I almost have all of my pictures from Onyxnox uploaded, and I'll try to share those later tonight. Got the package from Bunny1Kenobi today, but won't be able to take pictures of her stuff until Wednesday at the earliest I'm afraid. Can't wait to show what each of them sent, because they left me feeling extremely spoiled.

We don't have any dogs in our household, but I swear the baby dragon that Zalphinian has been hiding in her closet must have burned all my measuring tools to a crisp!

Cute mom.... Real cute. I think if I had a baby dragon I'd know, you'd know, and my sister would be insisting on coming over every night to play with the little thing.  Wink

Oh my goodness,  I went to that book and paper show and luckily I limited my time and money there.   There was an awesome Alice in Wonderland piece I wanted.... but I was afraid of what the price was.  Regardless, I now have some (more) cool vintage postcards, and documents from the late 1800s to early 1900s, and two awesome mid century copies of women's magazines with great vintage advertising.  Yes, I plan on sharing my bounty!

Oh, Alice in Wonderland! I can totally understand your desire for what ever it was. Glad you had a great time though.

I too have been raiding things from our Libraries free bin. While most of it was uninteresting, there were a few good finds.

I did a little crafting for my partner yesterday... hopefully she likes her goodies!  I have a couple other little things up my sleeve and then I should be ready to send.  Smiley

Oh, I'm sure I'll love it, no doubt about it!

I've got my envelope finally, so I can move my partners collection (so far) into that tomorrow. I'll also be going through my magazines and seeing if there's anything of particular interest in those.

Finally, been thinking about what I'll craft, and have several good ideas. Just need to get to work crafting and see which one's pan out and see if any didn't come out as I'd hoped. Finding times to take over the craft room have proven surprisingly challenging. But it will be done!  Cheesy

Awww.... I have made things difficult in my attempts to not be difficult! Alas, alas I say! Rest assured I will be happy with anything my partners come up with.  Cheesy

As for me, my search is on and I am finding a great many things I am hoping my partner will enjoy. I have some expert guidance in the form of my mother, a distinguished hoarder craft collector, who is teaching me to notice neat ephemera in the most unlikely of places.

I've already got an envelop ready and packing. Now that I'm on the lookout for things to use and send, it's amazing what's out there!

Much thanks Wulf.

May the stalking getting to know our partners begin!

Well, I'm looking to do a scrap book (or more) with the boyfriend when he gets a lull in his college course work, so this would be perfect for that. Not to mention my Mother appreciating my not raiding her stash quite so heavily as well. I'm in!

At the post office they told me that after 2 months I have the right to claim a refund of the worth of the content... I just think it sucks that taking extra care getting a recorded delivery doesn't save you from loosing things in the black hole called "international mailing service" So, if someone asks you what was in the letter Zalph, just tell them it was priceless art worth $500, and we'll split it *grins*

100% one of a kind art work that due to the level of creativity, quality, and uniqueness *had* to be worth $500. *wink wink*

Sorry all about the delay. It seems the (I'm possative) beautiful and utterly amazing house KosmicGirl sent me has gotten lost somewhere in the abyss of US Customs. I'm still holding out hope that someday it will magically appear in my mail box, but until that time Loves2Experiment graciously stepped in and sent me one of her extra's, so we wouldn't have to deal with the issue's that sometimes arise from international shipping. KosmicGirl was 100% ready to send out a second house though, for which I can not say I'm anything less than grateful. So a big thank you to both ladies for their willingness to step up when there was a bit of a hiccup.

Got the house almost a week ago, got it glued together, then just kept forgetting to get the darn pictures while it was still daylight out! Unfortunately daylight was needed because without it the pictures just came out way to dark.

Now, on to the house!

As you can see, this is one of the Emily Dickenson houses. She is one of my favorite poet's so this works out nicely.

You have to love the cute little door and the little house numbers.

This particular quote is fitting. I've had to move a lot, and it's always amazed me how quickly a place I moved too starts to feel like home. So many people seem to take forever to build that level of connection and just plain homeiness, but for me a place to lay my head is just about all I need.

Adorable little flags!
