after seeing <a href="http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=99090.0">this</a> post which lead me to <a href="http://community.livejournal.com/t_shirt_surgery/3597625.html">this</a> tutorial and after a couple of 'trial' pairs of what are now pj bottoms (to determine what size tee would be best)... my daughter wanted a more 'flowy' leg...
sooooo, i bought this maternity top at thrift this morning for 75cents

now, she's happy




ummm - why are my links all wonky? 

every sports event my kidlets are in produces another useless tee (once the season is over)  they are always ridiculously big for the kids and gaudy with advertisements on the front and sleeves, and always in too bright colors.  oh, and let's not forget, numbers on the back
but, i can't seem to make myself throw the hideous things away!
i'd love to recon everyone of these for my 7y/o dtr. 
suggestions?  links to others that might work?  is there a recon out there that will take away that much of the front?


i also have 4 of these tees... they all have this exact print on the front, everything else is blank

and made a cutie tootie flared denim skirt for my daughter.
i used a pair of jeans that were too short but still fit in the waist.  i left the seams exposed for that frayed look.  she's happy

she has a button tail and a flower button green eye and a round button green eye.  my 3 year old son loves her

hello all!  i found this awesome couch at thrift and am wanting to make several slipcovers (i have 4 young children, 2 dogs and 2 cats).
i wanted to get some opinions before i started.  do you think it is do-able?   see how the 'ends' of the couch round in?  this is the part that frightens me... do you think i will be able to create something to fit in nicely with this curve?
also, opinions of the tufting?   i LOVE the feel and size of this couch - fabric, too (it's silk damask)-- which is why i want to take great care in preserving it... especially while the kids are on summer break!

i made a leash for my local SPCA.  they had a silent auction today at MuttFest (it's everybody bring your dog to the park chaos day)

i lightly used the pattern from crochetme.
