1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Another Monster High OOAK on: October 19, 2014 09:55:14 PM
So I made another MH altered doll! This time it was for my sister in laws birthday! She is an avid collector of MH dolls and she loves Dios de Morte. First, I completely erased her face(with Tia Dalma I left her irises and pupils.). I repainted her face and boil curled her hair. I hand stitched her clothes. I definitely need to get better at the hand sewing. My daughter took most of these photos, her poses were so perfect!

And one in progress shot!

I altered this doll for Spikefan for the TV/Movie Swap! She as so fun to make! First I used a heat gun to make dread locks, i repainted her face, and hand stitched all of her clothes which include a skirt, over skirt, blouse, corset, and shawl. I made her crab necklace out of polymer clay and repainted her boots. I will be making more!

4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Sherlocked Box with Sherlock and Watson on: October 02, 2014 09:55:35 PM
I made this little box which houses Sherlock and Watson for Spikefan for the TV/Movie Swap. The box is paper mch and embellished with a polymer clay skull. The skull is sherlock inspired as well with Sherlock and Watson eye holes, violin nose hole, and 221B teeth! Inside are wooden peg versions of Sherlock and Watson Cheesy

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Dissected Frog! on: July 26, 2014 11:44:27 PM
So, I just finished this little guy for Ludi, for the whimsical shrine swap! Cheesy I admit, he is quirky, unusual, curious, weird, odd, (gross!?), funny. I had a lot of reservations and anxiety including this guy in the swap, but I did anyway and she really seemed to like him! Cheesy

His body is made of cotton/viscos/rayon blend. His guts are made of felt. He is mounted on cork board and displayed in a hand painted/stained/stamped frame. 😊

6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / We're All Mad Here - Cross Stitch on: June 23, 2014 10:34:24 AM
I had the privilege of being a swap angel for Smeddley recently! It was for the fairytale swap. She made a hoop with the same saying and had mentioned to me how much she wanted one! Sooo... I had to make her one!  Cheesy

It is on 14 count black aida cloth. I could not find 16 or 18 count in black anywhere!!!

I also decided to frame it! The frame was so boring and ordinary, I painted some splashes of colour to match the cross stitch! Smiley

Thank you Smeddley for the photos! <3
7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Polymer Dragon book and Game of Thrones Pegs! on: June 16, 2014 12:14:06 PM
So I just completed the TV/Movie swap, and I just had to make some peg people of my partners favourite characters! I made:
Robb Stark
Ghost (direwolf)
Jon Snow
Jaime Lannister
Arya Stark
Brienne of Tarth

Then! I made them a happy home in a book with a polymer guard dragon on the top!

Very fun!!!

I joined the fairy tale swap, and got completely inspired by my partner. She requested a fairy door and so began the research. I had to make one!

9  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Fairy Door!! on: May 01, 2014 11:30:51 PM
So! A swap pushed me into an amazing journey! I have never done very much with polymer clay in the past, but the fairy tale swap I just completed inspired me to try something I have never tried before. I was partnered with Gozer, who mentioned in her questionnaire that she would like a fairy door! I had never heard of fairy doors before and so I started my research! I was inspired and that was it... I had to make one! It is now happily living at Gozers house and I am pleased with the final result! Everything on the door is hand made and painted with the exception of the door handle, and the gems. The roses are hand painted.
