11  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Felt snack size Mars bar on: July 16, 2006 02:51:48 PM
ok il try and do a tute as best as i can

1- get cardboard (i used a playing card) and folded it round into a cuboid shape
2- get black felt and stick it with superglue onto the cardboard and trip the edges in a zigzag way to make it realistic.
3- cut out the letters carefully the smaller ones and bigger ones making sure they look good on each other.
4- stick on the letters onto the bar

all done!

i realise it isnt the most detailed of tutes but its pretty easy to make apart from cutting the letters i supose.

hope it helps Smiley

Smiley yea it was a shame really as i was a bit drunk to fully enjoy its flavour. it was quite funny as one guy at my party refused to eat it so my friend acused him of being homophobic and rammed some of the cake in his ear LOL

hey i know this has probably come up before i just cant be bothered re-reading all the pages and was wondering if someone could help me. I just wonder what the best kind of dye available would be. at the moment i use crazy colours but they dont seem to last long for me anymore and im not sure why that is. my hair already has alot of bleach in it so i think it would be able to soak up dye well. im looking for a dye that is quite permanent as in it lasts at least a few weeks without going really badly faded in the first few days. if anyone could advise something id be really gratefull. oh and also please bare in mind that i livi in the uk but then again maybe i can buy products online?

hi, im in the uk too, ive tried loads of dyes over the past few years, i feel your pain, hahah!  ive just started using special effects which i bought from here http://www.beeunique.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&zenid=521e9ac9ed51835ff371277901147d4a
this is another good site with tips and a lot of brands and info on them
http://haircrazy.info/index.php

they are both in the uk. the brand i liked the most before i got this was directions but when i changed my hair back to purple from green i thought id try out sfx as id heard good reviews. i dyed it with pimpin purple but its only been in 2 weeks so far so i cant really say how its doin, same as when i usually use directions so far.  a lot has to do with how you treat your hair. i also leave my dye in for about 4 hours, hahah, so i usually dont have to dye it again for about 2 months

hope that helps!!

jo

thanks i shall investigate that... yes well if its been in 2 weeks thats really good enough for me usualy dye lasts a few days in my hair and after 2 washes its gone Sad i actualy dont wash my hair too often usualy every 3 or 4 days but i wash my fringe more just because its on my face and gets greasy. my hairdressers gona put a little black in it on monday so ill post a pic of that Smiley ill check out these sites aswell tho cos i get bored easily....
