1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Frank N Furter doll on: May 04, 2013 03:05:45 AM
This is something I have been contemplating for months since I stared doing Crochet Dolls and now he is FINALLY  a reality!! my Frank n Furter Doll!!

He is an active WIP as their are still a few details only a die hard rocky fan would miss (like the crossed plasters on the inside of his elbow, his anklet and of course his 4711 tattoo oh and his pearl necklace) The pattern is again a basic doll pattern from Allison Hoffman with a few creative colour changes I think I would re-do the underwear as I was totally winging the patter at this point colour change wise. the same for his shoes I totally made them up on the spot but the front wedge is 3 rows and DC and 2 row magic circle for the bottom and the heel is basically just a magic circle of 5 with SC in it I think its about 3-4 rows.
2  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / The Art of Quilting [Sampler Quilt] on: May 02, 2013 08:27:46 AM
So has anyone else seen or been getting this magazine? I have been getting it since issue 1 and loving it theirs so many projects in it and being a total quilt novice its been a great learning curve I've got to many quilt ideas in my head mainly pixel ones, its just making them possible because fabric is so pricey I thought I would share a picture of the quilt from the magazine, or at least how mine has turned out so far is till have 12 blocks left till its complete its very wonky in places but I guess that adds to its charm right?

I dont think i was suppose to join it as much as i have because the mag said only to join in sets of 6, but from video tutorials i have watched its going to end up being sewn together like this anyway so i figured why no do it now lol..(only rows 1/2 and 4/5 are sewn together im still waiting on replacement fabric for a block from issue 34 that i cut wrong

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / 4th Doctor Scarf! on: April 16, 2013 12:19:28 PM
This is my mammoth crochet task!! its been a nightmare! I started it months and months ago but it came out awful so i re-purposed it into an Ipad case lol, but i still had all the wool lying around so i decided to take another stab at it this time using a larger hook and doubling the stitches.

I am using the doctorwhoscarf.com season 12 pattern and a 5mm hook i had found an actual crochet pattern but that required a 10mm hook which i bought but could not get on with at all, hence why i am doubling the stitches.

The Ipad Case

Progress so far..

as you can see my tension is rubbish the sides are all wobbly but it stretches out nicely..

7  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions / ISO pattern for Martian Fighting Machine on: April 16, 2013 04:25:14 AM
Hi Their, everyone!!

I'm new here and joined to pick the brains of people more experienced than I am. I have been crocheting for a few months now and I'm loving every aspect of it, I've been really into Amigurumi recently and made a totoro, 4th Doctor & a self portrait doll too, but now i want to make something awesome! But I'm at a total loss pattern wise, so I was wondering if anyone could help me develop a pattern?

I want to make a Martian Fighting Machine from the Cover of Jeff Wayne's war of the worlds I have managed to block out the basic shapes needed as most guides I've read has told me but I'm still at a loss for how to create these shapes?
