1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / This kid has a leek! on: September 28, 2013 07:28:15 PM
Family went to see Cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2 today.  We loved it!  The kids became obsessed with the leek, so of course, when we got home I had to make one of our own.

2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Just one more page! on: September 04, 2013 05:24:37 AM
The other night I had to tell my six year old to stop reading his book and go to bed. Is a great feeling really. Then when he finished the book he cried because he wasn't ready to say goodbye to the characters.  This is probably one of the most exhorting things ever to me. So I made him this because it seems to fit. Also any excuse to craft.

I got the pattern from here http://m.pinterest.com/pin/64105994667593836/ and just changed the colors to his favorites. Now I've found about a thousand things I want to make. Lol!
3  COOKING / Dessert / Cupcakes! kind of picture heavy on: June 19, 2013 12:54:30 PM
I'm a bit obsessed with cupcakes.  And I decided to try some of the hundreds of recipes I have pinned on my pinterest  (I may be addicted)

Graham cracker Cupcakes

Awesome strawberry hearts

Boston creme pie (the cup is chocolate!)

Hummingbirds

White Chocolate Raspberry  (with a white chocolate cup!)

An awesome monkey made out of fondant.  I had so much fun making it.  I do a lot of fondant work covering cakes but I've never made a creature before
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Lily Valley My Little Pony on: May 25, 2013 07:37:04 PM
My second attempt at a pony.  I've learned that I like felt much more than fabric.  I embroidered the lilies and painted the eyes.  I tried to make it look as much like the little figure as I could.  However I'm still having issues trying to make decent hair.

5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Many cross stitch MANY PICS Updated on: May 10, 2013 06:03:35 PM
I was going through my many many boxes of unfinished projects (I'm really bad at moving on to a new one before I'm finished)
So I found a bunch of little cross stitch fun that I was supposed to give away and whatnot (but I am a scatterbrain)

Warning Pic Heavy

With all the encouragement (and the fact that I decided to hurt my ankle last week and now have plenty of extra time on my hands)  I worked on a few more fun items and figured I'd just add them here instead of making a new thread.

I'm really enjoying a lot of pattern books my sons' grandmother left us when she passed.

I really wish I had found this one sooner.  I meant to give it to my sons' grandmother when she retired and aparently lost all track of it

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Steampunk-esk Drivers coat and hat on: May 02, 2013 06:01:47 PM
Oh how I wish I had a better camera than my cell phone.  LOL.  My DH loves steam punk and all clothing items that are retro.  50's and earlier.  So for his birthday I made him a drivers coat with some awesome buttons and a 50's Russian Engineers cap.  He of course loved it.  It is made of Moleskin and took many many hours.  Plus he lost some weight during the time it took to make it so it is rather big on him now.  lol

7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Little pony plushie on: April 13, 2013 08:07:17 AM
I made some my little ponies and my kids said they were too girlie so  tried a light blue with rainbow mane and tail.  They loved it!

8  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Updated: Camo pants and Shorts with pockets! on: April 13, 2013 08:00:03 AM
I found this great fabric at Hobby Lobby for only a dollar a yard!  Since my boys love camp I made some pants.  Just a normal pajama like pant with some pockets that had velcro.   For some reason my oldest wanted the waistband to be red.  Not sure why but it's very distinctive and he loves them!

(MAy 2)  I made some shorts for my littlest shorty with some leftover fabric.  Too bad this freak snow storm is not allowing him to wear them.  lol
