11  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Cell Phone Accessories on: August 26, 2005 07:19:31 PM
I don't have a cell phone (nor will I ever) so I was unaware that cell phones HAD accessories.  I thought cell phones themselves were an accessory!  Regardless, those are really cute.
12  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Create-a-Cell! with bonus infectious viruses!! (Bio-Geek Alert!) on: August 21, 2005 03:48:03 PM
Great idea!  I'd love to have a creative buddy like you, come my next birthday.  Perhaps with a subject matter more suited to myself, but heck, even the cell gave me warm flashbacks of the days when I got straight A's in biology.

Wow, that's gorgeous. I'd never heard of the stitcher before. Welcome to Craftster, thinnun.

Great idea!  Love, love kids' art.  In fact, when I designed my wedding invites way back when, I used a portrait of me and my hubby drawn by a friend's 4 year old.  It was so cute, and people loved it.  Not to mention, the little girl was thrilled!
15  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Crocheted Blizzard on: July 29, 2005 10:29:26 PM
They look fabulous on a Christmas tree!  I've used a sugar solution to stiffen them, or a starchy solution.  They are made with very fine thread.

Probably 5" x 8" or so.

I made about a million of these in the last ten years. I had over 40 different designs, including some I made up.   I've managed to stop now.  There are 3 or 4 crochet pictures here.  Not all snowflakes - hearts, too.

I finally got my crap together to try and post some of my stuff.  Here's one I finished in Jan. 2004.  (Still haven't stretched it).  You can't tell in the photo, but there's some sparkle in alternating sun beams.
