This is lovely for your first quilt. And the best part is how much your daughter loves it! Congratulations.

This quilt is lovely. And thanks for sharing your embroidery reference. I'm always looking for good new ones to check out. This really makes me want to make a mini quilt too!
3  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Ticker Tape Skulls Art Quilt! on: October 15, 2014 07:26:53 PM
This is great! It has such lovely detail work. I particularly like your handmade poly-clay skulls.
4  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Christmas Crazy Quilt on: October 15, 2014 07:22:29 PM
I just finished my Christmas themed crazy quilt! Finishing at 48"x72", the quilt is comprised of 8" and 12" blocks. I started this quilt last fall, but when it wasn't finished by Christmas last year, I took a break from it. I finally picked it back up a couple months ago, and this is the finished product. I'm very proud of how the quilt turned out, and can't wait to hang it up for the holidays.

I'd love to know what you think! Please feel free to stop by my blog to see more photos and find out more about the quilt.

Edit: More pics added.

MissingWillow I used the same crazy quilting technique I did on my Steampunk quilt, just without all of the embellishments.

I made this quilt for Valentine's Day.  See more photos and find out about the design process over on my blog. http://mouseinmypocket.com/2014/02/romance-as-a-quilt/

There are a lot of great projects here. I feel honored that my Steampunk crazy quilt was included among them.
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Weekender with Matching Makeup Roll on: January 30, 2014 06:55:10 AM
atomicstitch This was the first bag I ever made.  If I can do it anyone can.  It does take a little patience, and you need to go slow in places (piping is evil).  But it was well worth all of the time I put into the bag.

These are great, and I love that you're all prepared like that.  Now I have to ask.... where did you get the Alice in Wonderland fabric?  It's amazing!

I hate to hear that you don't like your finished quilt. And don't be hard on yourself about your machine quilting.  It looks good to me.  And I'm sure that someone will love it.  You can always donate it to Project Linus or something like that.
