1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Minecraft Cake on: April 04, 2013 10:01:40 PM
So, my boyfriend's birthday is April 5th, and I managed to finish making him a cake not two hours before midnight o.o

Though be warned in my example, I made each stitch on the pattern a 4x4 block, and it's still pretty small.

Though it took a lot longer than I thought it would to stitch and put together.

The pattern I used is located here:

Hi! I'm new to craftster.  But certainly not new to cross stitch.

Here's a project I finished recently.

I dont see very many video game stitches involving backstitching and/or beading, so I wanted to give it a try by making a pattern based off of my live  of video games, but more in the style of 'professional' cross stitch patterns.

This is based off the Super Smash Brothers official artwork, rather than basing it off sprites like most of my stitches so far. I designed the pattern myself.
It took me about 27 hours of stitching to complete, and was stitched over one on 28 count fabric, using tent stitches.

Here's a close up for details.
