i was just about to ask how you keep them from melting until i read that. i have such horrible luck with chocolate/candy melt decorations, i love doing them cuz they're easy and cute but they always warp and melt well before its time for them to be served....although that did work to my advantage when i was making ghosts for halloween one year, but in every other situation its no bueno

you might wanna try doing the same technique but with royal icing since it hardens and won't melt in hot weather, also royal icing decorations store for quite some time without going bad so you can do them in advance

these are crazy amazing though, so detailed. i dont think i'd have a problem with eating jesus and mary but for some reason i think i'd be creeped out by eating a nun
