This is a touching story, and a beautiful finished product. You have something really special there because it is a legacy of three generations. How very special. I like it so much that I may enlarge the pic and copy the stitches. Thank you for sharing.
I paint watercolor, and I think the portrait is beautiful! I love the paint spatters...The only suggestion I might have is to include some warmth. On my monitor at least, it appears to be completely cool. Adding some warm tones will create a balance and make a very good picture become great. There are so many good things about it already. Keep up the good work. I probably wouldn't mess with the hair.
I have knitted some dishcloths using Peaches 'n' Cream, but the cotton ones take too long to dry hanging on the faucet, so I tried using a lightweight acrylic (good stuff, not cheap yarn), and they dry quickly and don't stink. LOL.
They make a nice teacher or housewarming gift. Thanks for sharing.
These are sweet! I do not like science fiction, but the idea of the reversible napkins is cool. How big are the squares? I've been in a napkin-making mood lately. Have lots and lots of fabrics to use up and my BF is asking for more. Thanks
