1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Baby room curtains... Finally! on: September 03, 2008 03:45:16 AM
The baby is 7 months old and I finally finished her curtains and had the man put them up.  It was my first try doing lined and tabbed curtains, but I'm happy how it came out.  The straight lines and repeated designs helped me keep it neat & even.

2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Magnet & Pushpin Shrinky Dink Marathon on: January 13, 2008 03:15:26 PM
My sister, niece & I spent a few hours working on shrinky dinks.  Here's what resulted.
We're hooked!
3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Pac-man cross stitch bib on: January 04, 2008 06:54:05 PM
I was surfing some crafy sites and searching for nintendo stuff and found this cool blog: http://www.spritestitch.com/   I used the pac-man grid and plan on using some of the others soon!
I stitched this for my baby girl who is due in just 2 weeks.
I snapped the pic before ironing... well because I don't iron.  I'll just wash it.
I used a bib from Charles Craft.  I must say it's not great quality.  The whole bib is flimsy and the aida stitching area moves around too much and doesn't hold any shape.

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Updated with a new pic! Munchkin Cthulu & Mario Brothers Shrinky Dink Magnets on: December 29, 2007 05:14:37 PM
I found Shrinky Dinks at Michael's by accident the other day.  I love them!  This is my first project, a Mario magnet collection for my sister and her friend.  I can't wait to get more permanent markers so I can do more colorful characters (like Princess Peach, I need pink!).
Here's the set on the fridge.  I left a pen cap in the picture for scale.

5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Completed Projects / Large page for my Pop-pop on: November 25, 2007 08:16:04 AM
My family lost my Pop-Pop this month.  He was the most incredible man in the world.  this is the tribute I made to display at the wake.
6  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Fairy Onesie on: September 28, 2007 09:07:08 AM
I love the fairies and gnomes patterns.  I just finished this one for my daughter due in January.

7  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Mermaid Onesie on: September 22, 2007 04:26:30 PM
Here's a onesie that took me forever!  Since the fabric was so dark, I had to do some filling in.
I had a really hard time with the face!

8  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Sublime Painting for baby on: May 21, 2007 04:19:06 AM
This weekend I used Sublime stitching patterns for painting on baby clothes.  It's much faster!
My sister had a little boy 15 months ago and next month she is expecting a girl... so, I'm recycling her boy clothes and making them a little more girlie.

9  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / My nephew dreams in GREEN on: March 18, 2007 06:45:20 PM
My 6 year old nephew is as obsessed with the color green as we are with crafting.  So, I made him this.  I used Sublime Stitching patterns.

Oh, and I love doing french knots now that Jenny taught me how.  For some reason, other instructions were never as clear as Jenny's.  I get it now!
10  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / My first mosaic on: January 22, 2007 10:59:33 AM
I did my first mosaic over the weekend.  It's on an inexpensive mirror from Michael's.
I don't think I'll do it again any time soon.  It was fun and all, but expensive and time consuming.  I like to  do things that I can put down and go back to another time.
