1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: hitch hiking Our Lady Of Guadalupe on: November 07, 2008 06:18:48 AM
The way you did the face and eyes especially came out amazing.  I really did a quadruple take on that.
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Baby room curtains... Finally! on: September 03, 2008 03:45:16 AM
The baby is 7 months old and I finally finished her curtains and had the man put them up.  It was my first try doing lined and tabbed curtains, but I'm happy how it came out.  The straight lines and repeated designs helped me keep it neat & even.

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: Turning a crib into a fortress? on: August 21, 2008 06:23:45 AM
My daughter does the same thing.  A few nights ago she settled down like this:

Until now, I wasn't thinking about finding a solution to it.  What if we just wove fabric in and out of the bars pretty tightly?  It's safer than bumpers because they wouldn't be pouffy enough for them to suffocate from it.
4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: Embroidery: noun or verb? on: August 18, 2008 01:50:37 PM
You're right.  The people you heard those other words from are silly.

From dictionary.com
No results found for embroideried.
Did you mean embroidered (in dictionary) or Embroidered (in encyclopedia)?
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: What to add? on: July 01, 2008 03:41:59 AM
How about a cool picture on the tummy (like care bears but cooler).  Or a jacket.
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Raggedy Ann Bedsheet Dress on: May 28, 2008 05:25:32 PM
OMG!  I had that sheet when I was little.  I think my sister has it now.  It keeps cool in the heat.  They don't make sheets in that fabric anymore.

I love the dress.  You did a great job!
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Magnet & Pushpin Shrinky Dink Marathon on: January 13, 2008 03:15:26 PM
My sister, niece & I spent a few hours working on shrinky dinks.  Here's what resulted.
We're hooked!

That's awesome!. You have quite a talent for shaping crochet.
9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: what do you do? on: January 06, 2008 04:22:40 AM
I do this... I log on to Craftster!
Looking at all the pictures inspires me a lot.
10  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Pac-man cross stitch bib on: January 04, 2008 06:54:05 PM
I was surfing some crafy sites and searching for nintendo stuff and found this cool blog: http://www.spritestitch.com/   I used the pac-man grid and plan on using some of the others soon!
I stitched this for my baby girl who is due in just 2 weeks.
I snapped the pic before ironing... well because I don't iron.  I'll just wash it.
I used a bib from Charles Craft.  I must say it's not great quality.  The whole bib is flimsy and the aida stitching area moves around too much and doesn't hold any shape.
