3591  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: make me a plushie of my favorite ___ character? on: July 16, 2010 03:19:49 PM
Okay, glad to see there is a lot of interest in this still. I'm waiting for 2 swaps to finish up, I'll send two more in the next week and then I can post sign-ups at the end of next week.

And I think, in the Craftster way, you'll get matched according to idea/genre/compatibility rather than skill - okay?

I received two sets yesterday. First from fuzzyunicorn:

11 Insect inchies and 1 craft/sewing inchie.

Next are from VJP:

A whole lot of food and drink inchies - made in different ways - shrink plastic, the popsicle is wrapped yarn (I think) and one wine inchies have charms - one is a block of cheese and the other has a corkscrew!

A few more from VJP:

Sewing and crafts,  Seuss fish, an "artist" one - the name of him will come to me later!, a ladybug and a bonus "I heart Craftster" charm. Thanks so much.

Gentle Organizer Reminder - There are quite a few of you who seem to have left the building. Can you please check in with me or your partners and let us know that you're still with us?

And it is send out day on Monday July 19 - you need to let me know as soon as possible if you are unable to meet that deadline.

Thanks to all of you who are keeping in touch.

yep. I used torn bits of newpaper and hot water and blended it to a pulp. I used mold sold for poly clay, squeezed pulp into the mold until I was satisfied that most of the water was out and let it dry on the window sill for a few days.

P.S. In the Monthly Odd Holidays swap, I made seed bombs with paper pulp. They were taking for ever to dry out so I stuck them in the toaster over on low heat for about 20-30 minutes. It really speeded up the drying.
Just a tip.

Hopefully your just-shy-of-6-pounds of snacks arrives soon.

My package also. It should have arrived this week, delivered by Hugh Jackman himself!

So we all agree to meet again for another bird swap in a few months - but only if babalina58 is everybody's partner, right?

This swap is O-V-E-R!!

Yes the white hair is super soft.

And I forgot to say that I love the tree with a kite - what a great way to incorporate a tail - hee hee.

Oooh, I love the inchies that are puzzle-like. I'm the happy recipient of a few such sets myself. It just seems overwhelming to me how to figure it out. I may challenge myself the next round to try to create a set for each partner.

Really awesome inchies everybody - makers and receivers!
