21  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: A tree frog on: April 04, 2014 06:06:56 PM
It could be used as a coaster but I think I may frame it!

12 cm square (about 5 inches square)

25  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / A disaster and a save, maybe? on: April 04, 2014 12:53:23 PM
This jumped out of a box on the way to the car after a craft fair. It broke on the pavement.

So I fused it flat, cut out some shapes and made these.

I hope you think this works.
26  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Painting with Glassline paint on: March 09, 2014 05:01:53 PM
Earlier in the year, I tried some painting with Glassline paint for the first time. After firing this for the first time, I realised that the yellow, which seemed to flow so much better than the other colours, was definitely not as thick as the colours that cause my hand to spasm while trying to get it out of the bottles. The yellow almost disappeared after the first firing, so I repainted it and refired. This is the result.

First I painted and fired the shape and then added the glass dots that I tack fused onto the shape.
29  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Pendants using decal paper on: February 26, 2014 03:31:13 AM
They are "waterslide" decals that I print on my HP Laserjet P1600. The documentation with the paper says that any HP Laser printer that is only capable of printing black and white (it must not be capable of printing in colour) will work. You can use almost any image as long as it is a high contrast one. For instance, I made these for our neighbours' 50th Wedding Anniversary recently. This is a photograph from their wedding! I put it onto a couple of coasters, a pendant and a pair of cufflinks.
30  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Saving a project - an experiment that failed on: February 18, 2014 06:53:15 AM
The second picture just shows how the cut pieces were laid on the background - at this point they are separate. The third picture shows what happened when I fused the pieces together and why I needed to "save" it.
