I agree with the other posters about sewing it to another piece of fabric. But here's a more practical idea I once saw in a decorating magazine: sew it to a solid-colored fabric shower curtain. They had used a state map tablecloth and it looked so cool - and was a fabulous one-of-a-kind shower curtain - hanging in their bathroom!

This rocks! I've been wanting to try a portrait like this...this is good inspiration. And this just proves you don't need to know "the fancy stitches" to make an awesome embroidery piece!

I also love that you added something to the photo that wasn't there before - great idea! If I was walking in the dark forest, I would wonder what hidden eyes were peering at me from the trees, and this picture gives that feeling. Eerily cool!
