11  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Saloon Girl/Can Can dancer Marionette! on: July 26, 2005 02:29:58 PM
Wow! She is so cool! I've been wanting to make a can-can skirt for a long time, but you made the whole girl...
Now you just need a few more and you can do a whole can-can line!
12  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Re: GOLD NECKLACE now with tutorial on: July 26, 2005 01:38:50 PM
Wow! This reminded me that I made something like this in high school! I'd love to make one again...

Thanks!

14  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Get your kicks on Route 66 on: July 26, 2005 01:14:00 PM
When driving route 66 you have to stop at Exotic World in Helendale (between Vegas and LA)... it's a burlesque museum on a cool old dusty ranch with tons of old costumes and other artifacts belonging to former burlesque stars. It's run by Dixie Evans who was known in the 50's as the"Marilyn Monroe of Burlesque"

It inspired me so much, especially the costumes!

16  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Re: ideas for "Quit Smoking" party? on: July 21, 2005 04:48:51 PM
Yeah, too much smoking stuff might just remind him of what he can't have, like having a weight loss party with big pictures of chocolate cake and pizza...mmmm chocolate cake and pizza....

Anyway, stuff that highlights the pro's of his decision would be better!
17  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: Punk Rock Backback "finished" on: July 19, 2005 01:04:46 PM
Aww... He looks like a little vampire! Good Job!

I would say machine would be stronger if you are going to put many/heavy things inside. If your machine can handle it, I'd say that's the way to go.

18  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: starburst clock on: July 18, 2005 03:23:04 PM
Cute! It's ironic because the design on the face is called a starburst too...I actually thought it would be one of the clocks that are shaped like that when I saw the title!
19  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: $2 Big ugly skirt becomes Hip mod Bikini (Tutorial Added) on: July 18, 2005 10:36:58 AM
I first saw the lashes at a belly dance import store, but I figured they'd be easy to make by buying a pair of thicker lashes and superglueing the feathers to the corner of the base. I want to make another pair with feathers accros the whole lashes for a very dramatic look!

Oh yeah, and as far as the makeup, I'm wearing eyelashes with blue feathers attached to the corners. Thanks everybody!
