I'm now into the stenciling phase where my stencil is pooping out on me and getting clogged with paint. Now I have to make another one which will take another chunk of time....I shall post my project on here soon. I'm stenciling on tab-top curtains Japanese lillys, and its taking forever!! (sorry I must vent)
To create the most unique fish bowl you can think of .........as a challenge. It would be the first challenge that is pet themed, and it has to be completly functional. (I have to admit that the "Living Lava Lamp" sparked the idea, thanks to the talented burpingbedpost)
I hour later voila! A beautiful vase with half-marbles glued to it. Is that a smudge I see? Better rinse the vase under water to clean it - ker-plunk!kerplunk! one by one the glass bits fall off of it and my creation is ruined. Should have known better not to use hot glue for this, and glass glue instead....dang-it!
I had this ratty old wooden chair that used to be a pink paint splattered mess in an old art studio...then I got inspired after I saw a really easy pattern from a pillow I bought. I used acrylic paint and an artist paintbrush, and voila! now its my favorite chair! Now the room wouldn't be complete without it!
Its back to school already, so how about calming the first day jitters by coming up with nerd themed crafts!! Think: nerd glasses, big calculators, rulers, wedgies, suspenders, math equations, dungeons & dragons, braces, there is alot ......so tell me if you dig this idea or what!
