4  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Discussion and Questions / Re: i need help with batik on: February 17, 2006 02:41:00 AM
yeah, i think you maybe should just iron it. what i do is just put 3 pieces of newspaper on top and underneath, and put the iron on the highest temp. i dunno if it will work if you've already washed it tho, but heck, give it a try!
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: how to make a strap? on: February 17, 2006 02:38:20 AM
How do you usually do it?
This is how i do it Cheesy

      .
      .
      .

Then fold along dotted line so raw edges are inside and the folded edges are together, then you sew along both edges....

Sorry if that was confusing Cheesy Hope it helped

thanks, but i sorta don't get it. yeah, what i do is exactly what Morning Star does. i make a tube of fabric and i turn it inside out. it sucks! especially if it's really looong and thin! rar. hey, blackchampayne, do you think there would be an easier way to explain that? also, you other guys, i appreciate your help but i don't live in the states/whever and its really hard to find sewing stuff here. it SUCKS!! i appreciate all of your help tho!!
THANKs!!

p.s. you can still post =D
6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Re: My first tote that I want to sell on Etsy. What should I price it at? on: February 16, 2006 10:10:40 PM
I don't know what to say about the price, but I just love your tote.  Your fabric choice and size are fantastic.  What about using a strong magnetic closure that is covered in the fabric, so that you don't have to fuss with tying?  I have some Adrienne Vitadini bags that have that type of closure, and it's the best.  Keep up the good work.  Ann

basically everything Ann just said! i absolutely adore your bag, overall!

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / how to make a strap? on: February 15, 2006 10:37:42 PM
i know, this is sort of off topic, but does anyone know how to make a strap? to sew onto a halter or a bag? how to hem it, or something? thanks, haha. i'm making a tote and i was just wondering if there was an easier way to make a strap than how i usually do..

thanks!

Lovely. I love brown so I'm a little biast. =] and it looks real good with the white shirt and lace.
Does it tie together? Or do you just pull it over your head? I think if you pull it over your head that's a good touch...

Thanks! Yeah i like it too, a lot! Yeah, it's made to just to pull over your head. I constructed it from an old V-neck, button up shirt. It's cute! Thanks for your comment!
