1  Rectangular Eyelash, oh what to do? (picture update) in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by niaquinialli on: March 07, 2006 12:12:01 PM
I bought some eyelash yarn yesterday on a whim.  Just one skein, 1.5 oz., approximately 57 yards.  I used size 10 needles with just your basic garter stitch.  I just knit and knit and knit last night (my mom was in the hospital, so I'm attributing it to nerves).  Now I have about a 10" x 13" (or thereabouts, garter stretches, as you know) rectangle of this really funky eyelash "fabric."  The colors range from coral, to orange, to pink, to purple to periwinkle.  It's really fun.

My only problem is I have no idea what to do with it.  I was hoping I'd have enough in the skein for a scarflette, but that didn't happen.  Should I just knit another piece out of some contrasting yarn and attach it for a two-tone scarflette?  Attach some sort of fabric to make a scarflette?  What do you think I should do?  I'm not hellbent on a scarflette; I'm completely open to any and all suggestions.  If you need a picture to visualize, I'll try to see about taking a crappy one with my phone.

Thanks so much!

Not the best, but...
