1  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / felted flower - first attempt at needle felting on: July 10, 2013 05:04:07 PM
I feel like every project I've posted here has been a first attempt at a new craft!
I've crocheted, knitted and sewn for years, but I guess I'm in a phase of trying new things  Tongue

Anyway, I recently bought a set of felting needles, and have been fooling around with them at work. This is my first attempt at anything more than a blob, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / "F off" sleep mask on: July 01, 2013 07:19:53 PM
One of the characters in a show I watch, Shameless, has a black sleep mask that says "FUCK OFF" across it. I instantly loved it, but didn't like the blocky letters of the version they have for sale. I have to sleep with a mask because my partner likes to watch TV until super late, so what else to do, but make my own!

I think I'm going to go in and fill the white background with black, but other than that, I'm pretty happy with it!  Cheesy
3  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / My first amigurimi - a narwhal! on: June 13, 2013 11:46:33 AM
One of my best friend's kids drew a narwhal for me, so I decided to make her a crocheted version as thanks. So as my first project on craftster, I present Tanya the Narwhal:

She wasn't from a pattern, just a sphere with a horn & fin nubs from basic triangles.

Thanks for looking!  Cheesy
