11  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Red gathered dress on: May 28, 2014 04:15:17 AM
This is model 120 from burda issue 07-2010. Burda instructions called for chiffon but I used jersey instead this resulted in bulky seams because of the gathers but I like very much the dress. This pattern is just adorable and I think this dress is  my new favorite!!

12  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / black tulip dress with sweetheart neckline on: May 14, 2014 10:13:52 AM
Model #109 from Burda 05/2014. It has a lovely neckline and adorable pockets hidden under the front pleats

13  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / black twist dress on: November 06, 2013 08:04:47 AM
Hi! What's better than a black dress? I used jersey lycra and a burda magazine pattern. What do you think?
14  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Floral dress on: October 23, 2013 07:26:09 AM
Hi!! This is a Matthew Williamson design from Burda issue 09/2012. Im very happy with this dress, its an ultra chic and flattering pattern! The fabric is a thick satin I had bought to make purses. I think it paired very well with the Matthew Williamson design.

15  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Floral dress on: October 10, 2013 03:16:37 AM
This fabric was a love at the first sight!! I bought it from an apparel fabric store but it looks like hom dec, it has a wonderful black, white and brown print and a lovely texture. I used dress pattern 101 from burda 02/2011( with the skirt of model 107 from burda 11/2007). I don t regret for my pattern decision, I love my new dress very very much!!!

16  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / A very easy shrug on: October 07, 2013 07:52:29 AM
Hi!! This is a little lycra shug I made to make my cowl top appropriate for some more chilly days! It is as easy to sew as the top. The pattern is a simple rectangle, I have seen many shrugs like this in rtw stores. There are many tutorials on the web, one of them is this http://somethingtocraftabout.com/?p=555
I made 6 pleats at the bottom of the sleeves and added wide doubled bands, I think this way the shug looks a little more well finished. I have made loads of these shrugs and i have them always in my purse whenever the temprature is a little bit more low.

17  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / A very easy drape top on: October 07, 2013 07:47:52 AM
I made this lycra top using a rtw as a guide, it has only one seam at the back and it is very easy to make. I have made it approximately ten times so far and I sure will make it again. It has only one seam at the back, a hem at the bottom and a finishing  at the back. The whole construction takes less than one hour if you are good at sewing. I promise to post a tutorial as soon as I find enough internet time!

18  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / My favorite dress on: September 21, 2013 02:58:43 AM
I made this last summer and it is my favorite dress I have ever made. I used the dress pattern 125 from november burda 2007, this pattern is just perfect: it has adorable little sleeves with gussets, and a very flattering neckline with pleats at the arms, so feminine and retro!! The pattern called for a petticoat but I didnt add it because I wanted to reduce the vintage look. I used a stretch satin with a snake texture (it isnt visible at the photos but it is very pretty).

Fortune cookie purses are really addictive! This is a denim version, the fabric was embroiered and the construction was very easy!

20  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / purple and black fortune cookie purse on: September 11, 2013 12:59:06 AM
Make this bag and good fortune will bestow upon you

I made this using this extremely easy tutorial I found on the weekend designer's page  http://wkdesigner.wordpress.com/2008/08/30/fortune-cookie-purse/ . I used wool fabric and ric rac for this but I have made other fortune cookies as well, using different materials and making different closures, handles etc. The conctruction is very easy and the result is very cute! It also brings good fortune and it is the cutest idea for little gifts!!

I hope you like it and use this tutorial to make a fortune cookie for yourself!!!
