Liliv, you have a lovely smile and it lights up your face as you model your outfits!!  Grin Grin  Wow..you're lucky to have somewhere to buy fabric at a more reasonable price.  Where I live in north western Canada, there are only 2 small shops to buy fabric from so I order online from a couple places in the states.  Even with the shipping all the way up here it's still cheaper to order from far away  Roll Eyes   Cheesy  Fabric here (very small selection also) is about $20.00 /metre for cotton...I hate it lol!
The small shops in my country have same prices (15-20 euro/meter for the simple fabrics). If you go downtown you will find fabrics for 5-15 euro/meter, similar to online shops, but still expensive in comparison to the cost of RTW!! So I know very well how you feel!! I have discovered this shop 5 years now. The previous years I had the same feelings as you do, it's very discouraging to have to pay so much money for fabrics and notions. Many times I didn't sew something because it was cheaper to buy it!! And I always had the fear that I loose my money if I try a new pattern, etc. I beleive that the fabric market should be more flexible. Especially the small shops could sell more and make more overall profit if they had more reasonable prices! Being expensive they just send their clients to the online shops!

A white dress really does mean summer!

The neckline is gorgeous and you did a very good job making it neat and even...I admire your skills and am very jealous of your time spent sewing lovely things for yourself...this is one of my favorites...it looks fun and is very flattering on you...shows off a nice bust line...and your jewelry is also perfect for the style...

Your kitten seems to like it as well!
Thank you so much for your sweet comments!!! Don't be jealous of the time I spend sewing lovely things ... I have moved in a very boring place and sewing is the only way to pass my time with a little more creativity. .... if I hadn't this I would be watching TV all day long:) The little kitty is always posing near when I take photos, maybe he wants to become a model:P

I love it!!! These sleeves are very flirty and the whole style is absolutely your style. Are you going to make a similar dress for your big wedding?
Congratulations on the wedding!!! You and your husband look so sweet and cute and happy!
P.S. the people in my area are closed minded too, and I smiled imagining their reaction to a wedding dress like this, instead of the traditional white strapless A-line with beads Cheesy

Tenitsu: thanks a lot! You are a very adventurous girl! Where do you live? You must be very happy if you are near a river!
Midnight Sun: I hope you saw too the beggining of the smile:P. In my country the fabrics have a little higher prices than the on line stores. But I personally buy all my fabrics from a spesific store in my country, which has extremely low prices: that's why a have stashed some kilometers!!!

Oh yes, there are many similar patterns, I was just curious!! Your dress is amazing mostly because of the fabric (it was an excellent pick) and the way you wear it. You've got style!!!
