21  Mustard japanese knot purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by liliv-1 on: August 20, 2013 05:50:27 PM
I love japanese knot purses!!

For this I didn't use the usual pattern but cut two U-shaped pieces of fabric. The bag closes with the two handles. The construction is more clear here:

I used an adorable linen fabric in the most lovely shade of mustard.

I hope you like it!!

22  Twisted dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by liliv-1 on: August 18, 2013 03:39:45 PM
This is one of my favorite garments! I used a very thin drapey lycra which was hard to sew with my simple machine. I wish I had a serger:)

25  Chocolate jersey jumpsuit in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by liliv-1 on: July 13, 2013 03:11:18 PM
Hi everybody:) This is made of brown jersey, it looks like an overall but it is seperate top and pants. I used a burda magazine pattern for the top, which I made long enough and added a tunnel with elastic at the bottom: when it is worn the hem goes to the waist and the top has a soft bubble look. I finished the upper of the top with a doubled band. I also added a narrow strap which ties at the front connection point. For the pants I used as a pattern guide an old pair of rtw pants which I unstiched. I widened a bit the pants downwards gathered the hem and finished them with a doubled band. It was a very easy and quick project. It is also very easy to wear and comfortable.

26  Top's refashion in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by liliv-1 on: July 07, 2013 10:47:19 AM
Hi!! I made this dress from an old one shoulder black top which I cut the under the bust and added a self drafted A-line red skirt. To cover the seam I added a seperated band which I handstiched to the dress secure it. I also cut the one shoulder and created two tunnels for the red straps to pass through. The long red straps are not sewn, they are just cut and stretched to curl. It is a very simple and fast project which took only one hour to make!!

27  Green and black dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by liliv-1 on: July 03, 2013 08:30:52 AM
When I finished a previous green and black top there was left a little piece of green jersey fabric which I wanted to use before I forget its existence. I made a two toned dress and I added little bows made of black lace. The flower was already made for the previous green and black top it consists of circles of fabric melted at the edges with a candle. The flounces are made from circles cut continuously to make a spiral shape. I love the result very much and I hope you like it too!!

28  Black jersey dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by liliv-1 on: July 01, 2013 02:47:12 PM
This is my entry: a burda model from issue 5/2010. It was a test garment to see how this neckline would look on me. I had many problem during the construction because the jersey I used wasn't suitable for this pattern. I managed to fix it and now it's one of my favorite dresses. Its ultra comfortable and very versatile, I can dress it down and  color it up with scarves, necklaces and cardis.

29  Navy blue dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by liliv-1 on: June 29, 2013 08:08:55 AM
I didn't like so much navy blue because it reminded me of the school uniforms I used to wear as a child. But I wanted to try something different so I made this. I like it, I hope you like it too:)

30  blue pleated dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by liliv-1 on: June 23, 2013 07:39:11 AM
I made this last summer, its a very simple dress but one of my favorite garments ever made.  The fabric is a medium weight taffeta which holds very nicely the shape of the pleats.
