1  Little black dress with faux leather in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by liliv-1 on: August 25, 2014 02:55:07 PM
Hi! This is a really old pattern its burdastyle magazine model 12-2004-107. I loved the dramatic neckline of this model when I saw it in the magazine in 2004 and I wanted to sew it. I traced size 34 but never made it. Last September I traced it again, in size 38 and now I finally made it. Im not quite satisfied of the result because the dress is a little shapeless but I do love the neckline!

This is model 101 from Burda 6-2009. The magazine suggested jersey but I hadnt so I used  a woven fabric with a lot of stretch and I think it came out great, what do you think?

4  Floral Dress with A-line Skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by liliv-1 on: June 05, 2014 07:30:02 AM
This from burda issue 5-2011. I used a cotton blend with a bit of stretch.  I didn't want to interrupt the large print so I skipped the back seam.  I also skpped the zipper because of the elasticity of the fabric. The whole dress took me about 2-3 hours of sewing and 1m of fabric Smiley I plan to wear it a lot this summer.

5  Pink dress with bow in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by liliv-1 on: June 03, 2014 03:26:32 AM
Hi, this is model 107 from burda 11/2007. I had used many times the skirt of this pattern but this time was the first to use the bodice, which is interesting due to the unusual bust darts. I added an XXL drapped bow using the instructions found in the 10/2013 burda issue. I think the result is cute and I hope it is not very childish for my age:) I plan to wear the dress with the bow a couple of times and then remove it and replace it with a black necklace as shown at the pictures. What do you think?

7  Red gathered dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by liliv-1 on: May 28, 2014 04:15:17 AM
This is model 120 from burda issue 07-2010. Burda instructions called for chiffon but I used jersey instead this resulted in bulky seams because of the gathers but I like very much the dress. This pattern is just adorable and I think this dress is  my new favorite!!

10  Floral dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by liliv-1 on: October 23, 2013 07:26:09 AM
Hi!! This is a Matthew Williamson design from Burda issue 09/2012. Im very happy with this dress, its an ultra chic and flattering pattern! The fabric is a thick satin I had bought to make purses. I think it paired very well with the Matthew Williamson design.
