1  Re: Giant Rectangle Granny Square Afghan CAL in Crochetalongs by M_Hatter on: October 25, 2007 02:02:12 PM
It's done! After putting the afghan aside for a while, I forced myself to finish it. And this morning I did. Smiley

I love it.  Wink It's huge, warm and very heavy!

Hellga, I love the yarn you're using! So cute.

My progress so far:

The photo is a little blurry, sorry!

It takes me longer and longer to finish a row of one single color. Right now it takes me little less than a hour and I still have lots of rows to go!  Lips sealed

I'm joining this CAL with a very 70's Afghan! Cheesy
I began fridaynight, while watching Smoking Aces and I've been working on it every night for about two hours.

You can see the colors a little better in this picture. The white is really an off-white and looks better IRL. (Maybe I should've picked yellow instead of white?  Huh)
It's so addicting!

4  Re: Let's make pincushions! in Craftalongs by M_Hatter on: August 05, 2007 02:02:56 PM
I made my first pincushion! It's a little wonky, especially the part where I closed it. It was also the first time I used a sewing machine! Cheesy

The front. You can see the hand sewn part on the lower left side.

The back. Blurry pic!

Detail of the front. I have a thing for those classic anchor buttons!

5  *very* Crooked panda! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by M_Hatter on: May 19, 2007 07:33:03 AM
Yeah. I've never sewn anything before (except for the occassional hot/cold bag, using my moms Singer), I mostly crochet. But the mascots in Aranzi Aranzo's The Cute Book are just to cute to resist! I had to try one.

Absolutely everything is wrong about this panda. Cheesy His eyes are crooked and so are his ears and mouth. The stitches look superwonky, bit I still like him. Smiley It was good practice and I'm planning to make more!

6  Re: Edited: Straw Shrimp! in Completed Projects by M_Hatter on: April 18, 2007 12:00:32 AM

My attempt at shrimps. Cheesy They're named Henk, Henk, Henk and Bert.

I'm planning to make earrings out of them and I already found someone crazy enough to wear them.

7  Re: More onion eggs in Easter by M_Hatter on: April 02, 2007 06:16:10 AM
I had the day off, so I decided to dye some eggs. Smiley

They're not as pretty as yours, or my grandmas, but they still turned out great. And I already dyed alot more!

My mom likes the spot where I put a knot in the pantyhose more than the spot that was left by the leafs.  Cheesy
