House: Hufflepuff
S.P.E.W.: N/A
Project Name: Teeny Towels
Project Description: Another thing for my Mini Swap partner - Itty bitty kitchen towels with sewing-thread embroidery.  White for the root, green for the tops, and red for the SPICINESS!
Project Pic:

Class/Challenge: Quidditch - Catch the Snitch
House: Hufflepuff
S.P.E.W.: N/A
Project Name: Tiny Cookies
Project Description: Another thing for my Mini Swap partner - teensy cookies, cutter, dough, and rolling pin. Smiley
Project Pic:

Class/Challenge: Quidditch -Goal
House: Hufflepuff
S.P.E.W.: N/A
Project Name: Teensy Wreath
Project Description: A tiny little wreath to celebrate Christmas!  I made this for my partner for the Setting the Mini Scene swap.
Project Pic:

Class/Challenge: Quidditch -Half Time
House: Hufflepuff
S.P.E.W.: N/A
Project Name: Truffle Time!
Project Description: Who would like some truffles while we watch the Half-Time show??  These are actually magnets. ^_^
Project Pic:

Class/Challenge: Quidditch -Starting Whistle
House: Hufflepuff
S.P.E.W.: N/A
Project Name: Wee Presents
Project Description: his was the starting project for my Mini Swap Partner.  Wee packages for her Santa's Workshop Present Wrapping Station. Smiley  Also a spool of yarn and one of ribbon.
Project Pic:

Class/Challenge: Quidditch - Team Practice
House: Hufflepuff
S.P.E.W.: N/A
Project Name: Daisies on the Pitch
Project Description: I FAILED art in 3rd grade (this from a straight A student) because I sucked at crocheting.  I mean REALLY sucked at it. (To be fair, I also sucked at macrame, so it wasn't just the crocheting that killed me.)  Plus, my friends' grandma was visiting and did theirs for them, so by contrast, my sister and I looked even worse.  (Totally not bitter about this 30-some yrs later, LOL!)  So a few yrs ago, I decided that I refused to live with the stigma of having had my butt kicked by a yarn sport Wink and I taught myself how to do it right.  Practice makes perfect, yes?
Project Pic:

Class/Challenge: Quidditch Try Outs
House: Hufflepuff
S.P.E.W.: N/A
Project Name: Lolita Dress for Pippa
Project Description: I'm not sure what I'm best at, but I guess sewing is up there, so for Try Outs, I made a dress for Pippa, and am pretty happy with how it turned out!  I think I may make a pinafore to go over it, and maybe a more elaborate petticoat.
Project Pic:

Class/Challenge: Quidditch - Warm Up / House Unity
House: Hufflepuff
S.P.E.W.: N/A
Project Name: Roar Roar, Gryffindor!
Project Description: I wanted to do a hat with ears, but the ears in the patt I had weren't very lionesque, so I made up my own.  This was a stretch for me, because I'm still learning how to invent shapes in crochet, but I'm really happy with how this came together. Smiley

Hooray!  My web pages are loading in < 5 minutes today!

Oh my actual heavens the goodies here are SOOOO awesome!!

kbrison I'm so glad you liked your things!  I'm really sorry about the "marble" rolling pin handles though.  Sad  I hope you can get them to stick back on.

Gozer Thanks!  Yes, the mini Christmas paper was printed off.  I think I did an image search on "printable dollhouse Christmas paper"

And now, here are the delightful goodies I received from kbrison!

My daughter and I are fixing up an old dollhouse in Harry Potter wizarding world style.  First off, I got these lovely, plump cusions, and ADORABLE potions bottles.  The bottles have charming, gothic-style labels and are filled with resin potions that won't spill or evaporate!  Soooooo cool!  And I adore the plump cushions!  There's also a lovely handmade card. Smiley  Oh and an empty bottle so I can make another potion or the Witch-in-residence can be working on it. Cheesy

Here's a better pic of the potions:

I also got a darling plant!  SOOOOO cute!!  I used the cushions as a backdrop because they're so lovely I wanted to show them again. Smiley

Here's another angle on the plant:

She also made me SIGNS and TEENSY Potion labels!! OMG! Cheesy  The signs have amazing twisted wire handles (the upper right Huffle-crest does, too) and they look even better hanging up because the light shines through.  I can't show them in situ yet, because Daughter and I are still in the EARLY stages of the renovations (as in, we've stripped the old wallpaper and flooring, but it needs new!), but I cannot WAIT to get this stuff in there. Smiley

Oh yeah, and as a bonus, she sent me these fabbo upholstery samples that we can use for drapes, rugs, furnishings, etc. and some darling owl buttons, that I KNOW are going to come in handy. Smiley  Sorry for all the shouting, but it was a really exciting package, LOL!

Thank you SO MUCH!! Dagny and I are tickled PINK! Smiley

ErinAquaheart your mermaids are amazing!  And I love your notebook!  The cards are soooo pretty!  I was just eyeballing some of that origami (or chiyogami?) paper at Michael's the other day.

Mistress Jennie Your Gypsy bracelet is gorgeous!  And I love the tea steeper, too!  I bet your dad will love the bookmark.  It looks great!

Gaudiknight  Those dresses are just darling!  (As are the models Smiley  )

I went on another crafting binge. Smiley

Class : CoMC
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Mermaid's Beach Hat
Project Description:  The hat in the class below is the first one I made, but then I was inspired to do the kind of hat I'd envision a mermaid wearing if she was sunning herself.

and here's what it looks like on sea-blue hair, which I think is more mermaid-y ^_^

Class: DADA
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Mori Girl Hat
Project Description: Miniature Millinery is definitely a new medium for me.  I bought Hat forms from Hobby Lobby and then fancied them up with ribbons, flowers, fabric and pearl cabochons.  I learned a lot from my DADA class, and fell in love with making these!

Class / Challenge: Library Challenge - June  /  Slytherin Scavenger #3 (snakey ribbon used)
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Lydia's Party Hat
Project Description: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen is one of my all time favourite books.  I highly recommend it.  I can't tell you how many times I've read it or listened to the audiobook.  Smiley  This hat was inspired by Lydia's comment: "Look here, I have bought this bonnet. I do not think it is very pretty; but I thought I might as well buy it as not. I shall pull it to pieces as soon as I get home, and see if I can make it up any better."

I think Lydia would have made something like this to wear to a garden party. Smiley

and from the back:

Class / Challenge: Quidditch Preseason Studies / Sytherin Scavenger #4, #9 and # 13 (follow pattern exactly, use great care - had  to be super careful on lots of parts of this shirt! - and Gryfindor colours, shich are NOT our colours! Smiley  )
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Creaothceann Shirt
Project Description:  Creaothcann is thought to have inspired the Quidditch Bludger.  In this ancient Scottish game, witches and wizards strapped cauldrons to their heads, then raced to catch boulders that had been bewitched to hover 100 feet above the ground, and then released to plummet downwards upon the sounding of the staring horn or drum.  Here, you can see the Peanuts characters playing a much less lethal game that involves catching leaves in the "cauldrons" and frolicking in them.  I made this for my DH's birthday, which is tomorrow. Smiley  I'll iron it after I give it to him, since It's hiding in a box until then.
Project Pic:

and finally:

Class / Challenge: Transfiguration
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Trefilo(fax) Clips
Project Description:  This project is a group of 3 sets of filofax clips, as inspired be the 3-leaved trefoil. ErinAquaheart Do the dominoes look familiar?  I'm having lots of fun with the goodies from the prize box you sent me.  Thanks again!! Smiley

I had fun making this!

Class: Study of Ancient Rooms / Slytherin Scavenger Hunt #12, Bloody Baron
S.P.E.W: N/A
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Pippa's Petticoat
Project Description: I often tend to look for shortcuts when I sew, and today I started to go down that road, but then I changed my mind, deciding that if I was going to do it, I'd do it right!  This took a little more time, but I love the end result.  Dagaz symbolizes progress and growth, and I'm trying to grow in my crafting by taking more time to do things more mindfully and extra well. Smiley  The sheer tulle is my Bloody Baron scavenger find. Smiley

Oh my gosh!  So many awesome projects!!  I'm super excited about Slytherin snacks, too!  Hooray!!!  Here's what I did for part of my weekend:

Adding another class in front of the badger since no one has posted after me yet.  I hope this doesn't mess things up.  I thought it might make it easier for the HM.

Class: Alchemy
SPEW: n/a
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Swan White Hat
Project Description:
I dug out some white yarn to meet the requirements of this class and decided that Pippa needed a sun hat.  I did a little frill on the edge and was pleased to find that it wanted to be a brim. Smiley  Then I decided to fancy it up a bit, so I added a rosette of lace and fabric.
Project Pic:

Class: Astronomy
SPEW: n/a
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Spumoni Hat
Project Description:
As we were discussed the blending of colours in fireworks for Astronomy class, I thought of this yarn (one of my faves!) and decided to make this hat. Smiley
Project Pic:

Class: Flying / House Pride
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Felt Case for Felting Needles
Project Description:  I have several felting needles and I'm worried about losing them, because they're small AND super sharp, so I made this little organiser to keep better track of them.  I was inspired to make something from felt for flying class because it's fuzzy, and then I thought I'd add a black and yellow H (for Hufflepuff, hooray!) to represent the black and yellow of a bumblebee.

Jenleahlynn Great chart and I LOVE the magnets you made! Smiley

Magpirate  I love how you just casually toss out that you juggle FLAMING TORCHES!!!!  Shocked  The can looks great, and the cookies have me drooling. Smiley

Class: History of Magic, Slytherin Scavenger Hunt #1 Buddy System and #15 Dueling Wizards
House: Huffledypuff
Project Name: I Bagged Some Faeries!
Project Description: This fabric is printed with illustrations from Cicely Mary Barker's The Complete Book of the Flower Faeries.  Molly Merula held the strands for me while I braided the strap (Buddy System) and I had to "punt" on the flap, which turned out to be too short to close the bag nicely.  I ended up making an extension flap and sewing it to the original, then covered the join with ribbon.  I cut THREE different kinds of interfacing because I didn't have enough of any one -- or even 2 kinds.  And then I forgot to use the interfacing on the sides/bottom anyway.  Roll Eyes  So I made a bag bottom stabilizer from cardboard and covered it with more of the green fabric. (#15 -Dueling Wizards)  It was quite a battle, but I believe that I won in the end. Smiley  Additionally, this is the first time I've used a magnetic closure and I really like how it turned out. Smiley
Project Pics:

a pocket!

With the stabilizer.

Submission time!!

House: Houfflepouffe
Project Name: Deliberately Tiny
Project Description: These little goodies are made from Hearty air dry clay and required a lot of careful work.  The clay is coloured with acrylic paints.  It took me several takes to get the cameo to come out right, even with a mould, LOL!  2 of the tarts are frosted with silicone whip, and 1 with clay that was hand-extruded through an icing tip by pushing it through with a syringe plunger and the handle of a paintbrush. :/
Project Pic:

Class: Bertie Botts Bean - Earthworm
House: Houfflepouffe
Project Name: Bright Deco!  ALL THAT GLITTERS Scavenger Hunt (Item #2)
Project Description: I got a packet of pink deco cream from Hobby Lobby to try.  It's BRIGHT!  But I like how the jar lid came out. Smiley
Project Pic:

House: Houfflepouffe
Project Name: Charmed Cupcakes
Project Description: I froze a selection of clay cabochons in silicone cream to decorate some of my little storage containers.
Project Pic:

Class: HERBOLOGY and Slytherin Scavenger Prompt #10 Wingardium Leviosa - I used very lightweight air dry clay
House: Houfflepouffe
Project Name: Lavender Cakes
Project Description: 3 lavender cakes to soothe and delight. Smiley  Also a bonus cake, LOL!

Class: POTIONS and Slytherin Scavenger Prompt #7 Vanishing cabinet (Ghee jar vanishes, deco craft storage appears!)
House: Houfflepouffe
Project Name: Sweet Storage
Project Description: One must wait the required amount of time for the cream in this potion to set up!  Even with Professor Snape breathing down my neck, I managed to let it set up before turning it in. ^_^

Beautiful pendant, Staci Rose!  And Seeuudee your inchies are fab!  Now I have the bug to make some, too!

I'm loving the prompts again this semester!  Great job, Profs! Cheesy

Edit: I just remembered to alphabetize these, so the descriptions will make more sense if you read the second one first. :-P

Class: Arithmancy
House: HoufflePouffe
Project Name: Steampunk Ensemble
Project Description:  After making my corset muslin, I was inspired to go on to create another one.  Then I decided to make a skirt to go with it.  And THEN I needed a tiny hair clip to go with it all.  There were a lot of tiny pieces involved in this set.  The main body of the corset alone required 12 wee pieces of fabric, 10 grommets, lace trim, and cording.  Next was the skirt with a main piece, 4 (or 5? I lost count!) strips for the pleated ruffle, ribbon trim, and velcro closure.  Finally the clip took a wee clip, lace and 2 tiny pieces of fabric.  All of it was assembled  with hundred of stitches both by machine and hand. Smiley  Now I REALLY need to make Pippa a chemise or something to wear underneath.
Project Pics:

Class: Divination
House: Huff to the Puff
Project Name: Augury Corset
Project Description: I finally broke down and used the paper towel and masking tape method to draft a corset.  After doing that, I made this "muslin" and am THRILLED with the results.  I have a lot of leftover scraps of the blue fabric I use for ds's BS Troop scarves, so that's become my "muslin" of late (I used it for the inner layer.)  Since I made a muslin of bloomers with some contrasting red fabric, I decided to make this corset match it in case it turned out well. ^_^  This required careful alignment of wee pieces, as well as careful alignment of the 10 grommets in the back.  A bonus is that the pattern I made will be used in future projects, so it fits Divination doubly well. Smiley
