1  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: UK "Dear Santa" Swap. CLOSED Send by: 17TH DEC on: December 22, 2005 06:05:48 AM
Sorry to hear about the snot! Nice recovery on the postal problem, but um, kinda spoiling the surprise there aren't ya??
I PM'ed Sasha a week or so before the server change asking what sort of music she liked. Though I've had no reply from Sasha, aswell as others, which is why I  wonder if my PM's aren't getting through.

I had to open mine from Purplefluffycow to see if it was from Craftster, as I was expecting from Sasha before my brain clicked into gear. I shall post pictures up on it on Christmas day or boxing day. Adding to other problems, my CD Rom gobbled my CD cleaner up so I couldn't put a wider range of music on to CD before I recorded it to a tape.

I've sent it to her workplace. I'll be Donald Ducked if she works for EMI, or another Record company which owns copyright.  Grin

I don't know if anyone gets my PM's. I've sent about 12, but only had 4 replies or so. Lips sealed

To tell the board publically, I'm a complete nugget. I thought Sasha had flaked me. I held back until I received, and when it came through yesterday morning, it was from purplefluffycow. Then it struck me I'm sending to Sasha, and Sasha was never supposed to be sending to me anyway! Thicko snailmaleraftcraft, eh? A complete lapse upstairs. Bugger knows how it passed me for so long. I received from Purplefluffycow. Only when I opened it, it was when it all clicked. It had Purplefluffycow's name and address on the back, and I knew Sasha was West London, not in the North-West! It was only when I went out running,

So I was up until 4am this morning making the mixed CD and putting it onto tape whilst sticking it in a pouch which I winged, and managed to salvage it, as it had begun to look like a willy warmer from the Tudor period at first!

Then my Ghetto Blaster decided to only play CD's through one of the speakers, so I don't know if that'll have any effect on the tape. I can't see why it would though as my Pink Floyd tapes play well enough in the car of mine.

I would have done it yesterday, but whilst out running in a plain field, in the middle of nowhere, alone, I had a huge anxiety attack out of nowhere, and managed to bring up so much clear fluid up through my mouth and nostrols, I lost just under half a stone (5/6lbs) since the previous night and felt like crap all day.

I've just been down to the post office to sent to Sasha (sorry for the delay! I'm a numpty) via special delivery (3.85 isn't too bad) and it shall be at Sasha's workplace by 1pm tomorrow. I'm shattered, I crashed out on the lounge floor at 5:30am until 10am. I should go back to bed, but I've still not done any Chrismtas shopping.

I can't protest if I receive negative feedback. It's what I deserve aswell as a swift kick up the arse for being such a plonker.

Merry Christmas, and a happy new year to you all,
Dipstickraftcraft.

How many do you get in a pack for 99p?

They remind me of broken shag bands. Not that I'd know.  Cheesy

That's very good! Is the keyring covered in scoubidoos too? Where did you get 'em?

(MSN is being annoying and not letting me reply)

Wooo! Came this morning.

Card coffin bookmark with tail and felted skull; A book thong; a card with a message in, and a book about a girl who can read minds, which she doesn't like as it makes her indateable. A fella comes along whose mind she can't read, but he's a bad monkey - a murdering vampire. I shall look forward to reading it after I've finished Animal Farm.

Here's a pic of all the stuff.  Cool

I also sent my book and accessories today.
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Silly newbie question on: November 01, 2005 01:50:15 AM
Crocheting newbie here. Can crochet the first row fine - but how on earth do you begin a second standard row of crochet? I can't figure it out for the life of me, and the videos confuse me.

Thanks for any help in advance, it's greatly appreciated.  Grin
8  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Elvis Costello on: October 26, 2005 03:04:29 PM
I have this horrible habit of not knowing when to say enough is enough, and usually end up ruining my drawings in the name of trying to improve.

The backround isn't done, though I may leave it. I'd like to improve on the eyes and lips (the glasses are wonky but I daren't touch them). Infact, in short, it's not finished. I've been told to keep my mits off it before I destroy it, and looking back at previous drawings, it's something I'm quite capable of.

Still I can't quite grasp hair, but the picture I was going off of wasn't overly great, though I'm happy with the likeliness.

Ladeis and gentleman, Elvis Costello...

To my dearest Crafting Santa,

This Christmas, I'd like something for pencil drawings. I have sketchpads and pencils. Maybe a blender/smudging tool would be grand.

A crafted guitar strap would also be very welcome. Maybe even painted guitar picks (heavy/medium/thin, doesn't matter)

A claret and blue pin cushion would be pretty cool too. A claret and blue double length scarf would be very nice! Or even a bookmark!

I'm not too fussy, so surprise me if you wish. Eitherway, whatever I do get, it'll be received gratefully.
