94  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Help with being a faerie!!! on: October 21, 2004 10:03:10 AM
I need help! Saturday and Sunday of the All Hallow's weekend, I will be attending parties, and I have the outfit in mind of what I want to be, but I need help with putting it together! I want to be an urban faerie-if you've ever read Charles de Lint, you will know what I mean, for everyone else, imagine a punk-ish faerie. These are the things I need help with:
  • I want to make my own wings! I found I website that gives a great tut, but it really isn't all that helpful for what I need. I want my wings to be more jaggedy, curvy, you know? Does anyone know of a good tut-preferrably with pics Grin
  • I want to make a poofy skirt, but I don't know how to work with...what's it called...umm...it's like a strong tulle, you know? Well, I want to have many layers and stuf...with this kind of waisthttp://www.hottopic.com/store/product.asp?LS=0&ITEM=282400&RN=137 But more jaggedy and stuff for the skirt...I don't want pleats. Anyone know how I could go about doing this?
Please help! I have had trouble making a tie skirt with my sewing machine, so I don't want to mess up on this!Actually, my dad-who is the best sewing person in the house-was doing the first two ties when the needle got jammed! I HATE our sewing machine!

I want to go into business with my friend, but I don't know how we should approach it. Should we use ebay, or should we put items up for sale on our website? Huh
