1  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / Amphora-inspired vase on: February 18, 2014 10:56:51 AM
It's been a really long time since I made my last post. Unfortunately, school takes up a lot of my time and I still need to figure out how to take nice photos with my phone. Anyways. this is something I made for my grandmother's birthday:

I really like that "old" look and the glazing turned out better than I expected Smiley

I hope I can make my next post sooner Smiley
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Peacock butterfly on: August 13, 2013 11:47:46 PM
I haven't been on Craftster for long, but I fell in love with this site the first time I saw it. Crafting is a way to express myself and all these wonderful creations I can see have inspired me to try something different and improve as a crafter. So to me, Craftster means a place where I can get inspired and share my work.

For this challenge I decided to embroider a butterfly, which I find a nice symbol for crafting. Like a caterpillar can turn into a beautiful butterfly, a bunch of thread, papers, pieces of cloth, etc. can be turned into something awesome.

Sorry for foggy pictures, they are taken with a phone.
3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / A vase for my mother's birthday on: June 24, 2013 11:33:10 AM
This is the vase I made for my mom's birthday:

My mom really liked it and it was really fun to make, too, especially the roses. Mabye I cover the next one entirely with them Smiley
4  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / Vase with roses on: April 06, 2013 05:24:27 AM
Still being new to ceramics, my first attempt in making a vase.

It turned out way better than I expected. The pattern was made by pressing a scarf in the clay.

5  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / Pitcher and a mug on: March 24, 2013 11:24:20 AM
These are one of the first things I made in ceramics class.

The crystal glazing on the pitcher started to peel off so I had to glaze it again (with a matte one). Does anyone know what might cause it? Weird thing is that the mug was glazed at the same time with the same glazing and it stays on perfectly.
6  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Newbie from Estonia on: March 10, 2013 03:04:34 AM
Hello!
My name is Liisi and I'm a 16-year old from a small country called Estonia. I have been crafting as long as I can remember, mostly knitting, crocheting and sewing, but various other crafts too. Right now I'm really in love with ceramics.
I like chinchillas, science, books, music and art.
Sorry for any mistakes, English is my second language.
Hope you all have a nice day!
