1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: The"I just want to be unique" Prom dress!! on: April 29, 2006 10:03:24 AM
yes, i agree with the lovely ladies that say the flower should go and the ribbon should stay. i like the ribbon. and about it not being prom-ish enough, have you ever seen laguna beach? they wear sundresses to their prom. your dress is definitley prom-y enough. it's great. take the black and wear some chunky vintage jewlrey with it. it's most kick gluteus maximus.
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: kitschy plastic necklace joy ! tigers, bikes, skulls....img heavyish on: April 28, 2006 12:43:22 PM

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: Inexpensive gift for Dance students on: April 15, 2006 05:03:53 PM
depending on the type of dance, my dance teacher gave me a lil kit with satiny ribbon, pink shoe thread and a big fat needle for attaching ribbons to pointe shoes. but then, that's pointe. i have no idea what kind of dance you guys are doing
4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: off to college gift on: April 15, 2006 04:59:58 PM
there is no kinder gift you can give a boy than food. wrap him up a record bowl in saran wrap (like a gift basket Grin) and tuck things in it like ramen noodles, popcorn, tape, batteries, and a very small phone book with emergency #'s in it like poison control, the fire department (those boys!!) and the local pizza places. you can find the phone numbers for where he's going online most of the time. also, (plz don't be offended by this!!) condoms are a great gift for college guys. they'll thank you. promise.
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: Boyfriend help (computers, games, Star Wars) on: April 15, 2006 04:52:06 PM
make him a sushi floor pillow. like a flat beanbag/stuffing thing that looks like sushi, so he can lean on it when he plays his video games. if he lies on his stomach when playing games, his back is going to kill him after about an hour, but if he's leaning on a pillow, his back will be straighter than if he was propped up on his elbows.
6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Re: Noose earrings...cute or morbid? on: April 14, 2006 09:38:43 PM
they don't really look like nooses, maybe refine your skills a little, great first try though
i don't think they're morbid.  i wouldn't mind having a pair myself Smiley  good attempt, but they look a bit off to me.  maybe a shorter space between the knot and the hook.  unless this is something that looks better once it's on.

yeah, like i said, just a mockup. when i finish a nice pair it'll go here. i really didn't know how many loops to put on it, and whether to make them longer or whatnot. they're made out of paperclips, because i ran out of wire. now, jewlrey wire is alot easier to bend...so that might work our better?
7  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Noose earrings...cute or morbid? on: April 14, 2006 08:46:23 PM

this is a mock up of what i am doing, i pretty much like them, except for the shoddy construction, once i get some wire clippers i am going to fix them, i am worried, however, that they are morbid? i am going to sell them in my shop, which is aimed at young girls who think out of the box. so is that too weird even for them?
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: In search of....... on: April 13, 2006 12:41:57 PM
yeah, you should change the subject line. all i've ever seen record charm wise, is the metal ones. good luck.
9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: Want to buy - titanium earrings! on: April 13, 2006 12:40:26 PM
all the claires here in dallas have huge sections of nickel-free and titanium jewlrey. they have a website you can order off of.
10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: mini hair bows on: April 13, 2006 12:35:45 PM
well, i would imagine that you just took a ribbon and glued it in the back so it forms a loop, then wrapped another ribbon around the center and glued it?
