Isnt he great?  I made him from the Jean Greenhowe Christmas pamphlet as seen here http://jeangreenhowe.com/booklets.html out of acrylic.

PS. I used Lion's brand Vanna's choice (the only white yarn endorsed by Vanna White ) and Woolease

Since the kawasaki rose is way way too hard for me (I think i might be a little slow when it comes to paper folding) I decided to make 3d flowers for my vases another way.  By glueing two together. 

I used http://www.oriland.com/studio/diagram.asp?ID=Jasmine to make each flower, then i glued two together and popped them on a stick, and voila instant decoration!





now if I could just figure out that stupid rose!

My office is really cold, so I thought i'd make a nice thick wrap to keep myself toasty.

I love this lace pattern, it's so pretty.  Especially in the Andean Alpaca regal I used, it's so nice and springy for the upcoming long winter. 







I think I'm in love with it...

These were for my roommate's birthday, they spell her name, Soley.  I used the tutorial from http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=17742.msg3393;topicseen#msg3393.  She seemed to really like them, and it was super easy!

Here are my awesomely adorable wristcuffs that i threw together for the grand finale of the Harry potter book parties!

They're made from crappy redheart, but my friends and I loved them anyway, and wore ours the whole time we were reading the books haha.  

There was no real pattern, i just sort of casted on, and went for it.  



Pattern for spiral:

yarn: worsted
Needle size7 dpns
cast on as many stitches as is necessary to fit around wrist, there isn't much stretch, so it should be just big enough to fit over your wrist.  I cast on 30, make sure it is divisible by 6 and it was a little tight.  



Knit one row MC
begin color pattern in stockinette, carrying the other yarn behind m=main color, c=contrasting color

continue on until long enough for your tastes, mine are 3 inches long, cast off using main color.

this was super easy, and fun, and it gave me a chance to use my hot glue gun on the tail, because i don't care for felting

Here's my finished big blue beret!  it's nice and slouchy, but i don't really like how it puffs out so much to the side.
