4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Amanita muscaria - mushroom postcard on: April 19, 2015 09:11:36 AM
How neat! I love the way you aged this piece. It really looks like an old specimen file that was lost in some biologists attic Smiley.

Congrats on being featured in the 'best of' list for 2014!!

Thank you! I haven't been very active here for some time and when I logged in now I saw my painting on the list! So happy <3

I only used tea (and coffee maybe, I don't really remember) to age it. I even used a mug to get the "mug-print" you see at the top.

Congratulations on making the Best of 2014 list!  I too really like the aged look you created and your handwriting is exquisite Smiley

Thank you so much! It means so much to get this kind of praise from the craftster community <3
5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: The Carnivorous Plant Swap GALLERY! on: September 25, 2014 02:54:11 AM
Oh, I can't wait to taste that candy!  Those are bizarre flavors around here, but that just makes it more exciting!

I hope you like them! Especially the liquorice is very swedish. But a thousand times better than that sweet tasting liqourice if you ask me Wink

I LOVE liquorice and my family hails from Sweden (and Norway). I must make note of these candies and find them! lol

Oh! Then you should also try: turkisk peppar (a hard candy with a "spicy" powder in the middle, comes in different flavours but liquorice is the original), djungelvrål (small candies with salmiak taste <3) and lakritsbåtar (softer, more sweet liquorice taste) Cheesy

And I'm also looking forward to seeing the final packages! Cheesy

I'm so glad you like it! The candies are two of my favourites: violet and salty liquorice! Cheesy Veryvery swedish Wink

The flower is made from cold porcelain and painted with acrylics. The illustration is watercolours and watercolour pencils stained with coffee Smiley

Oh, I love dodos! How exactly did you carve the rubber? I mean, what tools did you use? The lines are very nice and clean, and thin!
