1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / SHOULDER BAG WITH HAND KNIT BEADED WIRE TRIM on: April 11, 2013 09:17:31 PM
I had knit what was originally supposed to be a cuff bracelet with wire that I had strung beads on, but I accidentally knit it too long for my wrist.  I brainstormed how to use it, because I didn't want that proj to go to waste because knitting with that gauge of wire hurt my fingers something FIERCE!  So I used some black faux leather material and used the knit wire as trim for the flap!
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / VINYL RECORD CLUTCH on: April 11, 2013 09:10:49 PM
After seeing a few purses out of records online, I decided to make an attempt at making one myself.  Much to my dad's chagrin, I used his power saw and drill to cut the record and make the holes in the top for the handles.  I discovered that vinyl's melting temperature is even lower than I though, and just hot glued the bag lining and fabric to the records Smiley
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / TWINKLE KNITS' BEST FRIEND CARDI on: April 11, 2013 09:05:51 PM
This is one of my fav cardigans I've knit to date!  I used Lion Brand Thick n Quick yarn with different ceramic buttons.
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / BACHELORETTE LINGERIE PARTY KNIT CORSET on: April 11, 2013 09:03:32 PM
A good friend of mine was getting hitched, so I knit this corset for her lingerie shower.  I knit it side-to-side and used short row shaping for the cups.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / 1st ATTEMPT AT ENTRELAC KNITTING! on: April 11, 2013 09:01:12 PM
I was admiring a wrap/shawl frock on knitty.com knit using the entrelac method, and was quite intimidated by how difficult it looked.  I took a crafts.com e-class on how to do it, and was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't too hard after all!  I used Noro yarn, and I am quite pleased on how this infinity scarf came out!  I'm convinced Noro was made for entrelac, or vice versa...
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / WINTER DOUBLE BREASTED JACKET on: April 10, 2013 10:33:10 PM
I made this last fall, and it quickly became my favorite winter go-to jacket...
7  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / HAND SMOCKED BABY DRESS on: April 10, 2013 10:29:41 PM
My grandmother taught me how to smock a few months before she passed away, and this is my 1st completed project!  It took me quite a while to complete it, but I was oh so proud when I finished it!
