1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Doctor Who and Wonder Woman yarn bags! on: March 02, 2016 06:45:54 PM

Honestly I saw this fabric at Hancock and had to find a small project to buy it since it is $10.99/yard!

My friend is the one who put me up to making the yarn bags since they're popping up all over the internet, but are anywhere from $50-$80! She found the WW fabric at JoAnn's. This is my first time using metallic thread and I'm super stoked with the result. Of course, the shinies are hard to see in the picture.

I used the following pattern. The edges are visible on the inside, but since you zigzag over the edge it should be fine. I also had fun learning how to use grommets/eyelets. It's not everyday I finish my sewing projects with a hammer!!

Thanks for looking!
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knit Meets Crochet Cardigan, Lion Brand pattern question on: January 15, 2013 07:38:42 AM
Hello, all!  (I'm not new, I just can't figure out my old password, or username for that matter.) Sad

Anyway, I've decided to take on my first "clothing" knit/crochet project.  I'm doing the "Knit meets crochet cardigan" from lionbrandyarn.com.

First of all you have the CO.
The next line states to do the K2, P2 ribbing for 15 rows for S-M and only 5 rows for the L-2X pattern.

My question is, does this seem right?  I've put an e-mail into Lion Brand, but I thought I'd take it to where I might actually get a quicker response.  I'm just paranoid I'm going to put a LOT of work into this project and then find out the pattern was messed up in the second line of it!  It seems to me for the smaller pattern, we'd have less rows, than the bigger pattern.

Thank you so much for reading this and for the help!

Edited to add the link to the pattern: http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/80421AD.html?noImages=
