1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Doctor Who and Wonder Woman yarn bags! on: March 02, 2016 06:45:54 PM

Honestly I saw this fabric at Hancock and had to find a small project to buy it since it is $10.99/yard!

My friend is the one who put me up to making the yarn bags since they're popping up all over the internet, but are anywhere from $50-$80! She found the WW fabric at JoAnn's. This is my first time using metallic thread and I'm super stoked with the result. Of course, the shinies are hard to see in the picture.

I used the following pattern. The edges are visible on the inside, but since you zigzag over the edge it should be fine. I also had fun learning how to use grommets/eyelets. It's not everyday I finish my sewing projects with a hammer!!

Thanks for looking!

Omigosh, cutest little model ever! I have seen the monster butt pattern, but haven't attempted. I think I might have to, now, before my daughter is old enough to protest. Grin

"With no place for cash because I don't have any."

I spend all mine on craft supplies, too. Wink I have to say, WELL WORTH IT. Amazing bag set!

I have been lurking around Spoonflower lately and I think this has pushed me over the edge to give them some of my money.

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

Lovely bag!

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: Preparing for the Summer Nerd Games (discussion thread) on: April 03, 2013 10:54:31 AM
I would love to participate, but I've never done a Craftster sign up/group/etc.

My nerddoms are quite plentiful:

-Doctor Who (I have a gallifreyan tattoo that says "witty little knitter.")
-Video games - mostly RPGs, but some of all genres.
-Cartoons
-Star Wars
-I <3 the Princess Bride to the fact it's a nerddom - let's stretch this to SO MANY MOVIES.
-Table top games
-SO MANY MOAR.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Knit Meets Crochet Cardigan, Lion Brand pattern question on: January 15, 2013 08:16:01 AM
I figured since it was already corrected in '09 and nothing since then it was probably right.  But thank you so much for the confirmation!  Smiley
